Position Purpose
The role involves overseeing the CIB IT project portfolio and ensuring its governance through the Project Portfolio Committee. The individual serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for central teams and IT managers for regular updates, which includes project costs, resources, allocations, codes, and risks.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
CIB IT Project Portfolio management
- Oversee CIB IT Project portfolio, ensuring governance through Project Portfolio Committee
- SPOC for central teams and IT managers for recurring Clarity tool updates (project costs, resources, PRJ allocations, codes & risks) and reviewing PLC governance assessments documents.
- Enhance IT project portfolio quality by strengthening procedures & reinforcing global standards.
- Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with projects.
- Understanding budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure projects are financially viable.
IT Strategic activities coordination
- Provide opinions and advice to the CIO team on key IT actions.
- Offer insights into staffing and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure governance standards are met and maintained.
- Plan, contribute and coordinate execution of strategic initiatives
- Prepare presentations for the CIO, ensuring they are comprehensive and well-organized.
Oversight
- Review, gather & consolidate control evidence & documents during IT Project Audits, Exams & 2LOD reviews.
- Governance of transversal activities, and liaising with multiple non-IT teams such as Clarity Project Office, COO office, HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Premises/Facilities, UOM, Physical Security, Information Security, Production Security, TPRM, Infrastructure, etc.
- Co-ordinate with various internal stakeholders for any reporting
- Generate reports at various frequencies and circulate the same to internal stakeholders
- Based on management need from time to time, collect data and perform meaningful analysis and share actionable insights
- Be analytical and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and solve problems across multiple projects.
- Coordination of regular committees and Forums, preparation of the support materials
- Coordinate with different departments (e.g., Project Services, Performance Management, HR etc.) to gather and analyze the information.
- Overseeing the business management function for an entire department, ensuring effective coordination, strategic planning, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Consolidating and Initiating BCP activities.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience with proficiency in MS office tools (especially in Excel & PowerPoint for running the functions/formulas, Pivot tables, Macros, Charts & PowerBI).
- IT Governance, Program management & Organizational skills
- While not necessarily an expert in all technical areas, a good understanding of IT systems, software development, and technology trends is beneficial.
- Has the ability to deliver deliverables within timelines and maintain open communication in case of challenges.
- Ability to manage change with ease.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills (a good command of both verbal & written) for delivery of reports & presentations for the leadership team, which must be engaging, informative and convincing.
