About Business line/Function: Financial Shared Services
Position Purpose: The main responsibility of this role is to manage, implement, coordinate and drive the migration activities pertaining to a large scale General Ledger migration project Globally with key responsibilities as listed below.The role involves working closely with the regional and central program managers to assist them to engage the contributing teams and obtain/produce the deliverables, securing the progress as per expected timelines and comply with the best practices.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
The Finance project manager is involved directly in the following activities:
n Drive the migration of the General ledger Globally from Legacy GL to Target GL
n Drive and manage the migration testing of new financial accounting systems and various reporting streams throughout of the testing phases of the migration project (From the Legacy GL to target GL)
n Provide a validation of changes to the reporting streams and users after each testing phase of the project
n Perform specific analysis on any user requested topics in the Financial Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, Management accounting, Performance Management and Credit risk reporting streams during the testing phases and aftercare phases
n Resolve functional data quality issues within the framework of the migration, provide support to production teams during test phases and also in after care mode once the target is live for an entity
n Manage the communication with the different stakeholders in BNPP & share best practices and solutions across different regions
n Contribute to enhancement, standardization and automation of the new financial systems
Contributing Responsibilities
n Ensure the Functional relationship with the central F&S function and promote good relationship with the clients.
n Manage and assist the Finance Analysts on their day-to-day activity, contribute to the complex analysis, review the analysis reports
n Participate in committees and meetings according to the Governance
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
At least 7 years of experience in project management and coordination of projects in complex organisational and multicultural environments with below skill sets:
· Experienced in the various phases (framing, study / design, execution, completion/closure).
· Ability to manage indirectly other project resources working under their own hierarchy, resources of various expertise/experience level.
· Ability to develop a culture of the planning, be able to keep a direction in order to meet the deadlines in an autonomous manner.
· Ability to propose for decisions with clear substantiation of pros and cons from sponsor perspective.
· Strong listening skills, Analytical Skills, interpersonal skills and ability to identify/impose compromise
· Knowledge of Banking and Financial services is a must, of accounting is desired
· Comfortable operating with a strong level of autonomy, self-driven
· Organised and delivery-focused, with attention to detail.
· Good communication and reporting skills
Specific Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience in Financial/Financial Services domain within Banking sector
· Experience of working in Global work environment across cultures appreciated
· Desktop office tools (Excel, Power Point, Teams, Word, Outlook) expertise
Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in project management
- Experience as business analyst/project manager/Functional Testing in Finance systems/interfaces implementation/migration projects (business analysis, functional requirements, User Acceptance testing) appreciated.
o Knowledge of financial reporting processes in Banking and Capital Market industry
o Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) activities and products
