What is this position about?
• Preparation of various statutory returns as well as compulsory surveys for BNP Paribas Hong Kong (“BNPP HK”) as requested and demanded by local authority – Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) regularly and from time to time independently and comply with regulatory requirements & internal guidelines.
• Analyze the latest changes in rules and regulations and implement the necessary system or procedural changes to meet the changing requirements.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
• Regulatory reporting:
o Prepare HKMA returns, liquidity ratios (LMR/CFR) and GDR report for BNPP HK.
o Providing information to HKMA case officer for queries on regular and ad hoc basis.
o Study new HKMA returns / surveys for any regulatory changes and implement new requirements by system changes, revise the respective procedures.
o To Interpret and implement new requirements issued by HKMA.
o Maintain proper procedure manuals for regulatory reporting.
o Update quick map tables for Flexel GDR reports to maintain any changes.
o Perform controls on Flexel reports.
o Perform UAT for any changes to Flexel system or reporting system.
o Support ad hoc process improvement and other projects assigned by the team head.
• Policy Maintenance and System Development:
o Ensures procedure manuals are updated and system implemented meets local regulatory reporting requirement.
• Financial Controls:
o Ensures first level controls on local regulatory reporting are properly performed.
Other contributions
o Preparation balance sheet information and ALCO materials to local management.
o Handling of the banking returns audit under section 63(3) and 63(3A) of Banking Ordinance. Provide return preparation walkthrough with auditor during audit review.
o Assist in provision of internal data / management report to senior management / other stakeholders.
o Work with project teams to identify the project needs and deliverables in alignment with overall Group programme objective.
o Be responsible for performing regulatory reporting control assessments and enhancement as well as preparing required documentation.
o Ensures audit recommendations are resolved within the specific timeline.
o Coordinate the BCP Drill.
o Administration tasks for department.
What is required for you to succeed?

Education/Certification/Licenses
• CPA along with a relevant degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting in banking or experience in banking returns audit.
• Experience in return automation projects such as workflow re-engineering / streamline existing process is an advantage
• Skilled in data extraction and analysis
• Fluency in English
