Job Title: Vice President, ESG & Transition Finance

Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019

Duties: Sustainability Advisory: Develop strategic & quantitative content on sustainability-related topics not yet fully covered by the Bank; identify how sustainability pressures will impact financial value, business risks & opportunities; prepare client pitch-books on sustainability-related business topics,; engage strategic dialogue with external clients C-suite level; take part in the execution of mandates resulting from pitches as needed and in collaboration with Coverage, Investment Banking & Product partners. Development Finance: Support the expansion of Development Finance in the Americas, connecting with all relevant stakeholders (MDBs, project developers, philanthropies, corporate off-takers, investors) in alignment with the Bank’s relevant ecosystem. Sustainable Finance: Support as needed Coverage Senior Bankers and Product partners with a focus on innovative products. Transversal innovation: Actively participate to the development of global sustainability product initiatives; work, in collaboration with the Head of Strategic & Sustainable Innovation, on new themes for the Bank (e.g., AI). Americas Sustainability Office: Support content creation & quarterly reporting for Americas Leadership Committee; support action implementation; assist CSO in ad-hoc tasks. Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York, NY. 10% Domestic & International travel (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, France) required.

SALARY: $187,696 / year. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.

Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)

Job Requirements: Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance with a focus on Corporate Finance / M&A and Sustainability and two (2) years of experience with Sustainability-related Investment Banking (Corporate Finance / M&A). Must have two (2) years of experience with: Master traditional Corporate Finance skills including financial modelling & valuation methodologies, M&A and ECM / fundraising advisory processes & documentation, pitchbook & marketing materials creation, due diligence process knowledge & coordination; and Deep knowledge & expertise of sustainability, including key climate technologies, sustainability-related policies & regulations. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Master relevant Financial Markets products, including at least one of the following: equity investment or derivatives products, vanilla or structured debt products; Delivery of pitches, advisory & products proposals to high-profile corporate stakeholders; and Participation to & execution of sustainability-related M&A transactions. Series 79, Series 63 & SIE (must have passed within 4 months of hire).
