ERI (Energy, Resources, & Infrastructure) combines in one group the expertise across infra & energy with a strong focus on Low Carbon (including Renewables), Digital Infra and Sustainable segments. ERI advises, arranges and/or structures loans, project bonds or multilateral financings that are suitable to client activities in sectors as diverse as renewable & other Low Carbon; & transmission lines; Digital Infra ; selected thermal power and energy infrastructure ; and other infrastructure projects, (including subways & electric bus fleet, Water and selected other Infra, etc.) with an eye to the low carbon, sustainable, digital and/or other socio-economical impact. ERI primarily benefits from longstanding involvement and experience in both advisory and arranging, enabling the team to structure complex limited-recourse or other financings through a combination of various funding outlets - such as debt capital markets, commercial banks, multilateral or development agencies, export credit, etc.
ERI’s primary revenue sources are fees (advisory, structuring, underwriting and upfront) and margin revenues. The team also provides BNPP with cross-sell opportunities focused on Global Markets, M&A, Export Finance and Commodity Trading with whom it regularly executes joint assignments

Responsibilities:
As a Junior VP / Senior Associate in ERI for the Americas with a particular focus on Latin America, responsibilities include leading:
- Execution & origination of project & structured finance deals in the Americas with a particular focus on Latin America infra & energy
- Project and financing documentation & closing process, interfacing with counsels and negotiating deal points and legal documentation with clients
- Oversee junior resources and provide guidance / supervise all financing efforts (particularly with a focus on long-term cash flow models that take into account various commodity, hedging and operating assumptions to ascertain project values and appropriate debt levels)
- Manage small deal teams and take ownership/responsibility for internal and external transaction processes
- Coordinate and oversee work on project due diligence liaising with consultants (legal, technical, environmental, insurance, tax, etc)
- Structuring and Advice on best structures and products to achieve the clients’ goals
- Use of the full resources of the Bank to bring to bear the best solutions and structures for the client
- Structuring & closing of bank, project bond, private placement and/or Multilateral A/B financings.
- Execution of lead arranged (bond or bank) or advisory limited recourse or structured financings
- Work with Coverage, Syndications, Global Markets (debt capital market & derivatives), M&A, etc.
- Prepare credit proposals that include sound credit and risk analysis
- Marketing to potential clients (pitches, proposals and presentations)
- Execution and supervision of credit approvals and due diligence process
- Ability to perform the above-mentioned tasks and deliverables in both English and Spanish
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
- Senior Associate level with Project Finance and/or Structured Finance deal execution experience at a major financial institution, corporation or rating agency (including client and documentation negotiation, credit applications, modeling & due diligence).
- Energy and/or Infrastructure sector knowledge
- Communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work well with multiple teams across product and geographical lines
- Ability to train and manage Junior Staff
- Strong credit, financial analysis, quantitative, and modelling skills
- Organizational skills (including the ability to handle or coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines)
- Strong ethics & integrity
- Solution-driven, proactive and innovative. Eagerness to learn and take on more responsibilities
- Fluency in both English and Spanish required
- Cultural and business knowledge of the US and Latam
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Degree
- Experience as Execution Team Leader on Project finance deals
- Knowledge of Portuguese

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $165,000 to $235,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
