Job Title: Vice President and Counsel
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Draft, review, and negotiate derivative-related documents, master agreements, financing and trading products documentation. Review and negotiate custom index documentation, including licenses, dealer agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Draft and review custom index disclosures; address equity derivatives/custom index documentation-related inquiries from stakeholders and clients. Legally advise front office personnel regarding standard and bespoke derivatives transactions. Escalate various negotiation points to business, such as risk, collateral, compliance and other internal functions for review and approval. Analyze derivative trading-related legal and regulatory issues, including close-out netting, ERISA, US securities law, and U.S. and cross-border regulations. *Telecommuting permitted 50%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas RCC Inc. office in New York, NY.
SALARY: $185,000 - $240,000 / year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Juris Doctor (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Law and three (3) years of experience in a job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with the following: corporate law; law firm or in-house counsel experience with respect to corporate law matters; drafting and reviewing agreements and transaction related documentation. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: US and cross-border derivatives regulatory framework; and US securities laws. State Bar of New York license required.
