Summary
Within BNP Paribas CIB Luxembourg the FUND ACCOUNTING EVENT COORDINATOR is in charge of ensuring a smooth operational coordination and implementation of new clients/structures and events occurring during a fund life.
He/She is in charge to elaborate operational fund accounting model and implement funds events into the BNPs framework, in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Fund events in scope:
Creation of new funds- or sub-funds,
Migrations from/to other service providers,
Funds or Share Classes Mergers,
Liquidations, Share Class Launches,
Nav Cycle Changes, and other fund lifecycle events
Involved structures can be under various regimes (UCITS,UCI part II, SIF, RAIF, Offshore Funds) and involve both traditional and alternative structures.

You will be responsible for the following:
· Guarantee the operational implementation and coordination of events in scope.
· Analyze, from a Fund Administration perspective, any events occurring during fund’s life such as Mergers, liquidations, Migrations in/out and provide gap analysis between the client needs and BP2S target operating model
· Initiate and ensure that the setup of all systems is completed in due course
· Develop and maintain a close relationship with clients, direct colleagues and other BP2S teams
· Ensure a structured and regular communication and monitoring of the projects assigned i.e. share the status of the ongoing projects with the operational teams via reporting / dedicated meetings / workshops and clear e-mail communication ; participate in workshops and conference calls related to the client project in order to understand the request and identify any specific client requirements; maintain and update the project status and action logs
· Organize Closing Meetings and hand-overs with the Operation teams
· Proactively Escalate to the management any potential issue identified
· Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the onboarding process by proposing concrete and pragmatic solutions
Qualifications/ Working Experience
Degree in Finance or equivalent is required.
The ideal candidate has a strong experience in Fund Accounting production team, as manager or as a Subject Matter Expert
Analytical Skills are required in term of workflows NAV. From A to Z : front office, middle, office, broker statement, OTC,…. He or she has a strong knowledge of the role and responsibilities of each stakeholders who act in the NAV fund cycle.
The ideal candidate has an experience in reviewing of NAV error (impact calculation and root cause), he or she understands the accounting principles, he or she has the ability to assess which stream of the NAV production is impacted by specific Accounting process.
He or she used to communicating with different stakeholders (Portfolio manager, Management companies, or other internal such as Tranfer Agency or Global Custody).
An experience in processing or reviewing fund mergers, as well a an expertise on performance fees, would be considered be a plus.
As project manager, the good candidate can identify & allocate all the tasks required for the events he or she is in charge, and ensure that all stakeholder deliver on time and scope.
Skills
Organized, structured approach of projects, able to work autonomously, able to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines or avoid bottlenecks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Multifonds would be considered as a strong asset.
Fluent English is mandatory as well as a very good command of French.
