BNP Paribas EMEA Finance employs 500 employees, of which more than 325 are based in Madrid. We manage more than 250 BNP Paribas entities from all over Europe, covering +60% of Group’s balance sheet and all group’s banking activities (Corporate & Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Personal Finance and other financial services activities…).
Our mission is to measure, control and explain all the financial indicators required to monitor accounting, tax, regulatory, liquidity, credit risk reporting and management result activities.
ABOUT THE JOB
MISSION
Based on the date of Group Accounts disclosure, the
Finance Reporting Analyst deploys operationally the
reporting instructions on his operational scope of
responsibility (closing timelines…) and ensures their
cascading down communication.
Based on the Data delivered by the Finance SMS -
Finance, Regulatory & Products experts, Regulatory
standards evolution received from Finance regulatory
project managers & Financial Norms Experts, or
information’s from the Business Units that will enable
to adjust the reporting schemes, delivers reporting’s
to Finance Fronting – Business Partners, Regulators,
Business units and provides reporting specific
requests, or ad hoc analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs reconciliations to ensure consistency of data
with accounting data source or any other “golden source”.
Performs overall controls (LOD 2 control plan) based
on the granularity controls performed by the Finance
SMS - Finance, Regulatory & Products experts, and the
Corporate Finance teams in the entities
Performs analytical reviews.
Contributes to projects by providing expertise on
reporting issues and the data model.
Prepares and pilots the budgetary and activity forecast
processes.
Finance control & Data quality missions are embedded in
the role Design & performs controls on his activities
(Accounting, Performance Management):
Reviews controls processes performed outside Finance,
Documents how controls are performed,
Delivers a synthesis on the controls performed,
Delivers alerts & action plans,
Is accountable for the quality of the financial data used
afterwards to produce all financial reporting:
Oversight of the quality of static data received from
Referential Officers – i.e. Counterparty, Securities,
Portfolio,
Makes sure we have all the information to complete the
reporting chain,
Ensures data reliability and consistency in reportings
REQUIREMENTS
Accounting degree or Master in Finance and accounting
2-4 years
Spanish (C1)
English (C1)
SKILLS
Able to understand a complex data model (data model
specific to BNP Paribas, data volume)
Attention to detail/Rigour
Ability to synthetize/simplify
