The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises two business lines:

International Operations Centre (IOC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe.

Custody & clearing services offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland and other markets.

 

Compliance Officer

 

Key responsibilities:

 
  • Contribute in adaptation and implementation of Compliance rules and policies in in Warsaw Office. This covers, among others, Financial Security and KYC, market integrity, clients’ interest protection and professional ethics,

  • Provide support, advice and opinion related to Compliance framework for Local Business and IOC Hub in Warsaw,

  • Support of local Compliance function mission statement,

  • Proactively contribute and work on building Compliance function strategy able to response to organisational and regulatory changes,

  • Implement Compliance policies in Warsaw Office, in accordance with the general Compliance policies of the Group and with particular support of respective Functions,

  • Ensure that various activities exercised in Warsaw Office are organized and executed in accordance with requirements of applicable regulatory framework, professional and ethical standards, as well as with the instructions, policies and procedures issued by Corporate Compliance, 

  • Provide all relevant information to the Head of Compliance and report subjects requiring such escalation, 

  • Participate in migration process (feasibility study, SLA review) and advice migration team on Compliance topics,

  • Proactively interact with Corporate Outsourcing team and Compliance from other BNP legacy locations on migration topics related to Compliance section (including implementation of their local Compliance policies when required),

  • Introducing and maintaining “Compliance mapping” – list of legal regulations related to Warsaw Office activities, update it and ensure local activities executed accordingly,

  • Organize permanent system of Compliance market watch (excluding legal and tax),

  • Support proper interactions with regulators and implementation of their requirements,

  • Contribute to compliance framework and new projects related to FATCA, AEOI, FBL, VOLCKER RULE, QI and provide reporting based on the Group standards

  • Conduct compliance training and awareness sessions.


Requirements:

 
  • Very good understanding of Compliance, regulatory and risk issues

  • Organisational and analytical skills, capacity to investigate suspicious cases

  • Graduate of law, banking or finance

  • Proved professional experience (preferably in Compliance matters)

  • Fluent English both written and spoken (basic French will be an additional value)

  • Eagerness to learn and to share knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail skill set

  • Solid communication skills with the ability and confidence to discuss issues at a senior level

  • Very good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
