The Graduate Programme – Global Banking EMEA – Corporate Coverage has been designed as a real booster of your personal and professional development. It is the ideal starting point to start your career in Corporate Finance.
You will hire as a fixed term or permanent contract according to your experience and will join BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking), more specifically the EMEA Coverage teams within the European Corporate Group (ECG).
Mission, Team & Working Environment – What to Expect
You will start with a 12‑month rotational programme:
- 2 weeks of training in Paris
- First rotation – 6 months with the Coverage teams in Milan
- Second (and final) rotation – 5 months with another Coverage department in a different European country
During this immersive, structured rotation you will quickly take on responsibilities across a variety of projects. A dedicated buddy will help you settle in, and you will receive continuous HR support. You will also become part of a learning community where knowledge is shared and co‑development is encouraged.
After the two‑week training, you will join the Coverage teams for your first 6‑month rotation.
About Corporate Coverage EMEA (CCEMEA)
Corporate Coverage EMEA (CCEMEA) is the entry point for mid‑cap and strategic corporate clients at BNP Paribas. The team’s mandate is to advise these clients and offer the full range of BNP Paribas banking products and services worldwide. CCEMEA defines the bank’s strategy toward these clients, initiating transactions either autonomously or in collaboration with all other BNP Paribas businesses.
As a Graduate – Corporate Coverage, you will support the team in managing and developing relationships with its clients. Joining CCEMEA gives you a unique insight into the BNP Paribas universe and how the bank assists and advises companies across the EMEA region. You will acquire solid technical and commercial skills that will become key assets for a future career at Europe’s largest bank.
You will play a fundamental role in the Corporate Coverage business model, working on three main dimensions:
Commercial: Contribute to the development and profitability of client relationships together with Managing Directors (MDs), Directors (Ds) and Vice‑Presidents (VPs). Support the preparation and follow‑up of the strategic review of activities and other actions needed to ensure a strong commercial dialogue between the client and the bank. Coordinate the subsidiaries of multinational corporations
Credit Analysis: Participate in analyzing and selecting the bank’s risk exposure, thereby helping to sustain the business model. You will be responsible for monitoring risk and the credit process for a client portfolio, contributing to go/no‑go decisions on new
Compliance / KYC & ESG: Deliver in‑depth Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) analyses and assess the environmental, social and governance (ESG) profile of our clients. Identify potential risks (including reputational risk for BNP Paribas) at onboarding or during financing, and help uncover commercial opportunities where the bank can support clients’ ESG transition.
You will develop expertise across these three pillars, covering a broad spectrum of topics.
Rotation Path
- First rotation: Corporate Coverage (Milan) – 6 months
- Second rotation: Another European Coverage team – 5 months
At the end of the programme you will return permanently to the Corporate Coverage team where you completed your first rotation.

What are we looking for?
- Master’s degree in finance/business and/or economics and/or accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to details with a solid knowledge of financial analysis

- Ability to build his/her own opinion on a file and to convince
- Self-starter spirit with good initiative
- Perspective and sense of priority and strategy, matching the clients’ and the bank interests
- Good knowledge of the corporate banking environment
- Flexibility and eagerness to improve his/her own performance
- Knowledge of the local language and advanced English
- Less than 2 years of professional experience (excluding internships, work study programs) from the date of your graduation.
