Are you interested to join a growing team to work as an AS400 / Cobol Developer?
You will be responsible for estimating, defining and developing features for new software or existing solutions on AS400 platform. You will be involved in a product development lifecycle based on Agile methodologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement applications using Cobol and CLP languages on the AS/400 platform.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
- Maintain and optimize existing applications to ensure their performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions and improve development processes.
- Resolve technical issues and provide user support, ensuring that all problems are promptly and efficiently addressed.
- Document processes, changes made to applications and implemented technical solutions.
- Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement innovative solutions.
What we are looking for:
- Around 3 years of relevant experience in AS400 platform and projects developments using Cobol/CLP.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases, especially DB2 for AS400
- Knowledge of the MQ framework
- Knowledge of the AS-400 scheduler
- Knowledge of CQS and Leasing products (nice to have)
- Problem-solving with the ability to handle technical issues.
- You show ability to encourage communication and collaboration between team members in order to meet the objectives, ability to integrate in a local team as well as in a remote team
- You have an attention to detail and very good analytical skills
- You speak Italian and English (oral and written) fluently – mandatory
