2027 APAC Long Internship (Jan - Jun) – Global Banking APAC

For: Undergraduate students in any disciplines from a recognized university
Duration: 6 months

What you can expect?

Induction
You will be provided with a comprehensive induction, where you will be immersed in group training and discover more about the BNP Paribas Group.

Training
From day one, you will start your business specific technical and financial training, alongside personal skills development aimed at equipping you with the knowledge you need to get you the best possible start in your career. Working alongside our teams of industry leading specialists, you will gain on-the-job training throughout your 6 months programme taking you along a development path to build your expertise and broaden your base of skills. 

What you will do?

In COO Office Digital AI, you will: 

  • Assist in creating and distributing reports on digital and AI initiatives, as well as the penetration of digital tools, and share these insights with various stakeholders and territories.
  • Assist in preparation of PowerPoint presentations for senior management, focusing on updates to the digital and AI roadmap, particularly for quarterly SteerCo meetings.
  • Support the analysis of internal insights and user feedback to evaluate the adoption and perception of our AI and digital tools.
  • Contribute to the drafting and distribution of a monthly newsletter featuring AI tips and prompts of the month to encourage the adoption of our internal AI assistant among the GB population.
  • Support in the creation of an AI prompt library, collecting and compiling various use cases of our internal AI assistant across Global Banking APAC.
  • Support on ad-hoc marketing and communication efforts to promote our digital solutions both internally and externally, such as NOA, our virtual assistant, to help increase ad option.

In COO Office Risk & Governance, you will: 

  • To provide support in various topics such as AML/Sanctions/KYC/KYX/, etc for global Banking, Transaction Banking (Cash, Trade, Supply Chain). Support covers related process maintenance, monitoring, implementation of new policy or setting up of framework for TBA (i.e.: PSP AML framework). 
  • To provide support on contingency projects which include but not limited to simulations and analysis of transaction profile, risk, etc. 
  • To provide support in various transversal topics such as Conduct, Conflict of interest, Voice recording, etc. Support covers mapping of data, update, as required. 
  • To provide support on other ad-hoc task, for example Quarterly Filiere Governance, etc. 
  • To review and provide automation solutions for some process (I.e.: marcos, etc)
  • To coordinate and manage the Transaction Approval Committee (TAC) / New Activitiy Committee (NAC) process across GB APAC, including liaison with other stakeholders, input in TAC / NAC system, progress tracking, any ad-hoc related tasks etc.

In Coverage team, you will:

  • To provide support in preparing client presentation materials, pitch books and internal meeting memos.
  • Help to research and analyse companies and industries (e.g. financial statements analysis, industry/market secondary research, extract market data)
  • Support team members in execution of deals, documentation.
  • KYC, onboarding documentation and other administrative tasks
  • Support team in specific ad-hoc projects (as and when assigned)

In Corporate Development & Sustainability Finance team, you will:

  • Support ESG Commercial Engagement mobilization
  • ESG Data of Corporates : analysis in context of client engagement 
  • Mapping of client sustainability approach and commitments 
  • Conduct peer analysis and sustainability benchmarking 
  • Assist in preparation of engagement materials 
  • Support specific thematic content building 
  • Global MNCs Approach

In Credit Management team, you will:

  • Support credit management and assist credit analysts in fulfilling their responsibilities 
  •  Assist in various ongoing Southeast Asia credit related follow up matters. 
  • Work on enhancing automated reporting as and when needed, and data extraction for monitoring the flow of annual reviews for credit files. 
  • Taking guidance from and interacting with credit analysts, support with financial spreadsheets/analysis and processing of credit files and preparation of files ahead of credit committee.

In Industry Groups - Sector team, you will:

  • Focus on Low‑Carbon Transition Group (LCTG) including Power, utilities & renewables, Low‑carbon fuels and carbon capture and Metals, mining & batteries
  • Delivers an end‑to‑end advisory solution, from deal origination and valuation to structuring and integration
  • Conduct comprehensive research on companies, industries, market trends, and institutional investors relevant to the low‑carbon transition
  • Valuation analyses including DCF financial modelling, comparable company, and comparable transaction analysis
  • Analyzing market data, building detailed financial models and valuation analyses for mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and capital markets advisory transactions
  • Prepare client-ready presentation decks, pitch books for M&A and other strategic advisory assignments
  • Assist senior bankers throughout the full transaction life cycle, from origination and pitching, through to valuation and due diligence during live deals, to closing and post-deal integration

In Loan Capital Markets team, you will:

  • Analyzing market data, company financials and peer group analysis 
  • Building and sensitizing financial and valuation models 
  • Preparing client presentations for origination and structuring of financing and capital markets transactions 
  • Preparing credit proposals to support underwriting, arranging and participating in transactions 
  • Assisting in managing client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of seniors

In Mergers and Acquisitions, you will:

  • Focusing on the origination and execution of M&A and fund-raising transactions for our corporate clients across sectors.
  • Analyzing market data
  • Building financial and valuation models
  • Preparing client presentations for M&A and Fund raising
  • Assisting in managing client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of seniors

Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB)

Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) se positionne comme une passerelle entre deux types de clientèles : les entreprises et les institutionnels - banques, compagnies d’assurance et gestionnaires d’actifs.
