As Legal Advisor within Securities Services Legal team you will have the opportunity to work as part of large international legal team based in over 20 locations on global as well as local projects. Your work will include providing legal support to departments in the Securities Services business Line (Clearing and Custody Services – CCS, Asset and Fund Services – AFS, Corporate Trust Services – CTS, Market and Financing Services – MFS) in the negotiation of the service agreements covering the full range of services provided to the local and international clients of the Securities Services business Line like as asset managers, banks, insurance companies, corporates and pension funds as well as outsourcing contracts.
Responsibilities:
- negotiate and establishment of agreements for new clients or new deals with existing clients;
- assist and draft template agreements;
- participate to the definition and implementation of new product/services and global projects, including attending and providing legal advice to the relevant committees;
- provide support to the Securities Services Business Line of BNP Paribas CIB in order to anticipate potential legal issues and identify future legal requirements aligned to business strategy; and keep up to date with regulatory and legal environment and apply required changes to activities and framework
What we expect from you
- Italian Degree in Law/qualification;
- Experience of at least 5 years of post-qualification with a top tier organization (law firms or investment bank), a large portion of which will ideally have been spent in a comparable in-house role and/or top law firms i.e. handling investment fund industry, custody and/or post trade services;
- Fluency in Italian and English (both written and spoken);
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines meeting the internal and external client needs (local and international based);
- Substantial and demonstrable experience of, and enthusiasm for, working on complex legal transactions, operating in a multi-jurisdictional environment and managing stakeholders at all levels of seniority, building up good interpersonal relationship and enjoyment of working in close partnership with business colleagues;
- A good knowledge of GDPR and/or public tender will be a plus;
- high ethical standards.
