What does the role involve on a day-to-day basis?

At the heart of BNP Paribas’ Global Markets – Quantitative Research division, you will join the Resources & Financing Optimization team. This team designs solutions that enable the bank to efficiently manage its funding resources. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing the securities inventory management platform: designing, implementing, and maintaining applications for collateral optimization, Prime Brokerage asset rehypothecation, and automation of short-selling coverage;
  • Extending the platform that centralizes the management of liquidity and balance sheet resources, such as LCR, NSFR, leverage, and G-SIB metrics;
  • Providing innovative tools to ensure efficient resource management — supporting decision-making, scenario analysis, and performance monitoring, in close collaboration with Trading and ALM teams.

These responsibilities will allow you to develop strong technical expertise, deepen your understanding of funding markets, and build lasting relationships within the Global Markets ecosystem.

You will be based in the heart of Paris, in a dynamic business district just steps away from the Opéra, with excellent public transport connections.

What’s next?

Through your experience and engagement, you will benefit from:

  • A broad professional network (traders, structurers, ALM, IT, Finance, etc.), opening up career opportunities both within Global Markets and across other business lines within CIB or the wider Group;
  • Geographical mobility opportunities (Europe, Asia-Pacific, Americas), as well as opportunities to take on greater responsibilities such as leading projects, managing teams, or specializing in more complex financing products.

Why join us?

Working at BNP Paribas means benefiting from:

Compensation & benefits

  • A fixed annual salary, paid over 12 months, aligned with your profile and experience;
  • An annual variable bonus, based on individual and collective performance, as well as the Group’s results;
  • Access to company and Group agreements, employee savings and retirement plans, profit-sharing schemes, company restaurant and/or meal vouchers, health insurance, and social and cultural activities via the works council.

Work environment

  • Flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid work model to be defined with your manager;

Joining BNP Paribas also means being part of a committed Group and contributing to a major transformation project aimed at building a more sustainable world. You can get involved through initiatives such as the OneMillionHoursToHelp program.

Are you our next Quantitative Analyst – Resources & Financing?

You are a strong candidate if you have at least 3 years of experience (including internships and apprenticeships) and are eager to combine business and technical skills in a highly strategic environment.

  • Education: Master’s degree (MSc) in mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent;
  • Technical skills: strong command of an object-oriented programming language (preferably C++ or C#), solid knowledge of algorithms, and development experience;
  • Financial knowledge: familiarity with stock lending, funding activities, or other financing products is a strong advantage;
  • Soft skills: strong team spirit, critical thinking, rigor, ability to communicate clearly (fluent English required), and willingness to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.

If you are curious, autonomous, and motivated to contribute to the sustainable transformation of financial markets, join us and help build the financing solutions of tomorrow.
