Business Overview:
Supervisory Relations is a rapidly evolving team for BNPP’s Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) and Wholesale operations in the U.S.  BNPP views Supervisory Relations as a critical organizational component for managing its relationships with regulators as BNPP has implemented the IHC and the Enhanced Prudential Standards (including CCAR).  The objective of Supervisory Relations is to ensure an organized, strategic and cohesive approach to BNPP’s regulators for the IHC and for its wholesale operations. Such approach must be well-grounded both in a sound understanding of BNPP’s US businesses and of regulatory processes and expectations.
The Supervisory Relations team is expected to work closely with executive management, business lines and control functions (including Compliance, Finance, Risk and Legal). It also liaises as necessary with the equivalent teams at Banc West.

The Vice President Project Manager position will work with the Head and Deputy Head of Supervisory Relations to manage projects and critical deliverables for the team.  It will be important that this role helps push forward best practices for regulatory excellence across the team, and broadly across the firm.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to direct and work with resources across Supervisory Relations and the organization. The Project Manager works autonomously and will be required to:
  • Support exam and continuous monitoring resource planning
  • Create standardized tools, templates, and standards, as necessary, to ensure efficient implementation and execution of the Supervisory Relations mission and objectives
  • Identify and track key performance indicators and key risk indicators for the team
  • Support the timely and sustainable implementation of project initiatives, helping Supervisory Relations work through obstacles and pushing for solutions
  • Build lasting capabilities within functions and IT to support the regulatory transformation and promote ongoing operational effectiveness in business-as-usual
  • Develop/support creation of communication materials related to Supervisory Relations for senior management and Board members
  • Build close relationships with all levels of the organization to allow open flow of communication
  • Serve as Policy Manager for Supervisory Relations
  • Support Supervisory Relations on other priorities to be identified, including, but not limited to, project management, communications material development, and any additional transformation needs


In addition, the PM may undertake business analysis tasks either as contributor to another Project or in the context of a self-managed initiative.

  • Ensure proper archiving in team shared drive and other databases
  • Follow-up on the changes to exam and continuous monitoring plan and update
  • Follow-up with team members to ensure timeline is being respected and deliverables are to be met on schedule
  • Keep updated action and issue logs, contact list, project distribution list and other registers
  • Perform quality assurance, insure the completeness and adequacy of deliverables

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years Financial Services Industry Experience   
  • 7+ years of experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA is a plus
  • Knowledge of the BNP Paribas group and Americas organization and management
  • Ability to:         
    • Coordinate with senior management
    • Understand and summarize complex and/or technical issues
  • Exceptional communication skills – oral, written and presentation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks / organization and ability to multi-task
