The role

The position of Transactional Services Assistant is integral to the delivery of property financial services to a varied client base. The role is to support the wider Transactional Services Team to ensure services are delivered to a consistently high quality and standard, promptly and efficiently.


Key deliverables

To include, but not restricted to:

·       Supporting the wider Transactional Services team in their day to day activities

·       Preparing supplier payments and liaising with the treasury team to ensure these are actioned

·       Dealing with supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements

·        Assist as necessary in the opening, sorting and distribution of incoming mail

·       Reconcile supplier statements

·       Contribute to the Accounts Payable team’s performance by ensuring that no backlogs occur

·        Database management on Excel eg; reformatting reports from TRAMPS into Excel

·       Responding to routine enquiries (correspondence emails, telephone calls etc)

·       Speaking with the other Client Finance team members and ensuring that SLA’s in place between the teams are being met and actioned

·       Assisting in the preparation of monthly Credit Control reporting to include Aged Debtors Analysis for clients, by tenant for the benefit of the Client Reporting Accountant team, as headed up by the Reporting Manager

·       Dealing with Ad hoc reporting and requests

·       Administrative duties

Person specification

Desirable Qualifications

  •    Studying towards an accounting qualification e.g. CIMA / ACCA / AAT etc. 

Desirable Skills

  •    Property management and accounting packages for managing agents

Essential Skills

  •    Advanced MS office

Essential Experience

·        Proven work experience in a demanding financial environment, preferably within the property sector

·        Must be numerate and pay close attention to detail

·        Committed to the provision of excellent customer service and to meeting deadlines
