Internal Communications Manager

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for designing and implementing a strong and innovative internal communications framework to support the Bank’s reputation and deliver its strategy to employees across Asia Pacific. The manager will direct the communications strategy and execution across 14 markets in which the bank operates across APAC. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Designing proactive communications strategies for employee engagement including CSR communications
  • Disseminating the bank’s strategy to employees across diverse markets using innovative communications
  • Designing and implementing a social media strategy to drive employee-led brand advocacy
  • Developing communications tools and templates for use across business lines
  • Working closely with the media relations function to manage issues and crises
  • Managing and maintaining the intranet to ensure information is accessible and useful to staff
  • Creating innovative and well-written communications that employees want to read
  • Content creation for external and internal channels


Work experience requirements:

·         Approx. 5 to 10 years’ experience in the financial services/investment banking industry or professional services

·         Keen interest in and understanding of the financial services industry and financial communications, ideally in an international, multicultural environment

·         Expertise in managing internal communications channels and best practices; insight into integrated corporate communications

·         Ability to proactively seek out opportunities to create content that can be used across internal and external channels

·         Mature, team player, able to build effective working relationships across all levels of the global organisation

·         Strong emphasis on self-reliance, confidence and commitment to delivering for the team and stakeholders

·         Excellent written and spoken English

·         Strong understanding of social media

·         Excellent project-management skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with remote teams across hierarchical lines

·         Experience managing senior level stakeholders
