Business Overview:
The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.
Responsibilities & Position Overview:
The IHC Financial Reporting Analyst will perform duties involved with the IHC Financial Reporting platform including production of financials for the IHC and Combined US Operations.
  • Contribute to pre-closing process, i.e. pre-closing meeting, close calendar preparation, etc.
  • Participate in:
    • Production of consolidated financial reporting of the IHC and the CUSO
    • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Contribute to IHC Board Package preparation and other reporting to Management
  • Perform controls to ensure GAAP compliance and accuracy of the financial reporting
  • Document work done and analyses performed, ensuring audit trails are maintained
  • Contribute to reconciliation controls with other reporting streams such as IHC Regulatory Reporting, Management reporting, Liquidity reporting, RWA etc.
  • Coordinate with BancWest team for controls and analyses on IHC consolidation
  • Ensure issues identified during closing are documented, followed through and escalated when needed
  • Be an active actor of IHC Financial Reporting process enhancement
  • Contribute to:          
    • Documentation of new functional requirements and user testing
    • The IHC chart of account maintenance
    • New financial reporting projects
    • Updating process documentation
    • Finance data remediation
  • Participate in building the IHC annual report process
  • Responsible for specific Financial Reporting related issues from analysis to resolution.
  • Ad-hoc tasks

  • 7 + years of experience in Accounting /Financial Reporting, preferably in an banking organization
  • Bachelors agree in relevant field of study, specifically Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • US GAAP/Consolidations experience
  • Good understanding of financial statements and experience in financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word)
  • Knowledge of Oracle products (HFM) is a plus but not required
  • Basic project management skills
  • Enthusiastic and a team player with very strong work ethic

  • Ability to plan and prioritize, escalate when necessary
  • Strong analytical skill and control mindset
