Key Responsibilities
His/her key responsibilities include:
  1. Support the regional head of e-MMC in his internal governance and his e-MMC Vision
  • Act as a thinking partner for the regional head of e-MMC to help building its business strategy, optimizing the setup and anticipating regulatory hurdles.
  • Ensure efficient governance & communication frameworks are in place to steer the e-MMC business, and act as secretary to them, ensuring proper tracking of decisions and follow-up of actions. Make sure relationship with the GBLs and the other regions are properly articulated.
  • Able to represent, when relevant, the regional head of e-MMC in internal forums with regional heads of GBLs and/or regional heads of desks (trading and sales), as well as in external forums/bodies.
  • Leveraging on the Strategy & Client Development teams notably, ensure regular benchmark with competition to feed the development or adjustment of e-MMC strategy and roadmap.
  1. Identify, Sponsor, Lead and/or contribute to new business projects for e-MMC
  • Assist management and project sponsors, help them to drive business projects and ensure that all the necessary actors are involved when required.
  • Follow up and coordinate the portfolio of e-MMC initiatives.
  • In coordination with other teams, identify improvement areas within the e-MMC organization/setup, define and implement solutions to streamline the relevant processes.
  • Assist in the NAC/TAC process for new e-MMC activity and transaction approvals, coordinate the preparation of the documentation with the business, ITO and functions to ensure that all necessary aspects are addressed.
  • Contribute to the client onboarding and client enablement initiatives, either driven regionally or globally.
  • Promote when relevant the standardization of practices across all Global Markets and play an active role in sharing Best Practices within Global Markets.
  1. Ensure e-MMC and GBL Management has the required performance and management indicators
  • Jointly with the regional e-MMC Head and GBL Management, define the eMIS / eKPI required to monitor the electronic activities and drive its strategy/vision (e.g. hit ratio, client profitability, competition benchmarking, MDP rankings, latency analysis…).
  • Build and/or coordinate the development of the required eMIS / eKPI (in liaison with the GM Data Office).
  • Ensure that these eMIS / eKPI are produced systematically and regularly.
  • In coordination with the various departments involved, produce when required ad-hoc analysis of the e-MMC activity according to management requirements.
  1. Setup, implement and maintain the e-MMC organizational structure in Americas
  • Assist regional head of e-MMC in defining and implementing the regional e-MMC structure and organization (e.g. headcount, dedicated trading portfolios, portfolio hierarchy re-organization, FO cost centers…).
  • Contribute to the Front Office budget process (headcount, revenue, CC, cost…).
  • Jointly with GBL Business Management and Finance, review the cost structure and cost allocation to e-MMC activities to ensure accuracy. Identify and implement cost optimization where relevant.
  1. Contribute to robust e-MMC Control and Compliance framework
  • Work with Compliance, OPC and Supervision teams to ensure all e-MMC activities are fully compliant at all times.
  • Active contribution to remediation tasks where applicable.
  • Active involvement in Regulators and/or Internal Audit inquiries related to e-MMC activities.
  • Active contribution to the Global Markets Americas Market Access Governance framework.
  • Key contributor in adapting e-MMC activities to new regulations (e.g. DFA, MIFID II…).
  • Assist in the definition and enforcement of business procedures, guidelines and policies:
    • Contribute to the identification of risk areas and the control framework required to mitigate them.
    • Keep up-to-date Front Office business procedures and duties.
    • Organize training of Front Office people on policies and procedure relevant to their activity
  1. Leading role in e-MMC Digitalization
  • Keep up-to-date on all key industry-wide Fintech/Digital innovation, including participation in relevant seminar/conferences/events.
  • Lead regionally all Digitalization initiatives directly related to electronic business activities.
  • Contributor, where relevant, in other Digitalization/Industrialization not directly related to e-MMC.
  1. Ensure strong relationship with Business Partners on e-MMC topics: Quantitative Research, Compliance, Legal, Risk-IM, IT, Operations, Drive and Finance
  • Design, implement and run relevant governance routines between e-MMC and its Business Partners, so as to ensure seamless functioning, accountability and control across the value chain.
  • Keep Business Partners up-to-date on the e-MMC organization and business evolutions
    • Ensure that e-MMC organization changes are communicated and explained to all Business Partners.
    • Update our Partners on all major new activities or initiatives
  • Serve as an entry point to the Business Partners when necessary
    • Help them understand e-MMC business priorities and requirements (Budget process, development priorities, clients’ sensitivity…).
    • Help partners conduct the "change management" to business processes when required.
  • Ensure the e-MMC organization global coherence vis-à-vis their Partners
    • Ensure global consistency of e-MMC requests to Partners and validate budget reallocation according to priority shifts.
    • Make sure that priorities are well understood and taken into account by our Partners
    • Work for the alignment of Business strategy and Partners' resources and proposes arbitrages when necessary.
    • Contribute to improve the governance of projects through their active participation to steering committee and by requesting relevant sponsor to attend

Essential Experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant professional experience in large bank or organization involved in e-market making/e-commerce, of which min. 3-5 years in a COO/Business Management capacity
  • Deep knowledge of one or more asset classes covered by Global Markets (FX, G10 Rates, Equities, Commodities, G10 Credit, Local Markets)
  • Strong experience in electronic business (e-Market Making and/or e-Commerce)
  • Successful track record of large scale change management within a Front Office environment
  • Strong proven experience in Compliance rules and handling of regulatory inquiries related to electronic trading activities
  • Project management skills with an outstanding track record of achievement
  • Good understanding and experience of financial budgeting process
  • Experience in defining, documenting, implementing and monitoring a long-term strategic plan
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationship with Front Office senior management (Head of Business, Head of Trading/Sales Desk, Senior Sales/Traders…)
  • Ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams
