Position Purpose

The Data Quality Analyst will be working with the Data Quality Manager who is (i) accountable for the data quality framework implemented in the Region and (ii) responsible for coordinating data governance/quality activities in his/her perimeter.



• Data monitoring and Control
 Support the implementation of proper controls framework around data in compliance with Group requirement and any applicable regulation
 Collect requirements from users and implement key risk indicators to monitor data quality in the Region and share them with relevant stakeholders including OPC and independent control functions
 Coordinate the resolution of complex data quality issues across businesses / functions
 Ensure monitoring, escalation and resolution process of data quality issues by facilitating adequate interactions between data owners and data inputters;

• Transformation Role:
 Support the effective implementation of data quality management systems and tools;
 Contribute in any remediation plan identified as part of new regulations and pertaining to data management (ie. BCBS-239)
 Sets up/ensures the implementation of data quality objectives by structuring the appropriate projects when necessary;
 Conducts change management in order to promote the culture of accountability on data quality management.

• Data Quality Governance

 Support the Quarterly Regional Assessment Committee which is the main forum regarding the monitoring of data quality in the Region and escalation for data-related issues.
• Follow-up consolidation of feeds and data in Group Systems
• Monitor data quality
• Alert on major data quality issues
• Present data quality indicators
• Prioritize and follow-up action plans  (e.g.: mapping of systems when necessary) i.e: ensuring that data quality issues are reviewed and that corrective & preventive actions are defined to resolve them (including ownership of the actions)
• Share and facilitate the APAC data quality governance
• Present the results of the certification process
• Escalate matters for attention to the Global CIB Quarterly Assessment Committee (QAC)



Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 Analytical abilities – ability to work with large and complex data sets, strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and interpret trends and important information
 Problem-solving skills – identifying issues or ways to improve systems that are already in place is a key job function, so data quality analysts must be critical thinkers who can successfully troubleshoot and solve problems
 Interpersonal skills –excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with wide range of stakeholders and as a team player
 Technical expertise –experience in working with SQL programing, ETL and data visualization tools preferred
