The role

Responsible for a team working in the “investor” services part of the business line and reporting directly to the London Head of Building Consultancy.  This role will involve a high level of client contact and the opportunity to build strong networks with all of our UK offices.  The team complete all aspects of building surveying work for the investor market and the candidate will be expected to have a working knowledge of all service lines being offered.

 

Clients are principally from the commercial sector.

 

The ideal candidate will have gained experience working with UK investors and Institutional funds, property companies, overseas investors and high net-worth individuals. Relationships with UK investors and Institutional Funds is advantageous.

 

Roles and responsibilities

 

Main Accountabilities

  • Management of a team of surveyors delivering building surveying services within the London and wider national Building Line
  • Taking and being responsible for the delivery of instructions
  • Reporting to the London Head on resourcing of instructions, finance, opportunities and business development actions
  • Technical expertise in TDD building surveys, fund project monitoring, contract administration/project management
  • Undertaking a full range of building surveying disciplines
  • Responsible for management of own workload on a day-to-day basis

  • Managing existing client relationships on a day to day basis
  • Identifying new business opportunities both within and outside of your own discipline

Person specification

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential

  • Degree in Building Surveying
  • MRICS qualified 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

 

Essential

  • Technical Due Diligence Building Surveys 
  • Project Management and contract administration duties
  • Project appraisal and monitoring
  • Defect analysis
  • Professional building surveying disciplines including Reinstatement Cost Assessments, party walls, planned maintenance and dilapidations
