Business Overview:
Global Markets comprises seven Global Business Lines:- G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Foreign Exchange & Local Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Credit, Prime Solutions & Financings, and Primary.
Global Markets Operations, GMO, supports the business via four units:- Control & Regulatory Oversight, Product Control, Trade Processing, and Collateral Management and Treasury Liquidity & Forecasting Management.  The Control unit manages and mitigates operational risk across several axes with continual review, enhancement and deployment of operational controls to ensure adherence to the evolving regulatory environment, firm policies and procedures, and industry best practice. 
To strengthen the Operational control environment a second independent and segregated layer of controls is being deployed across the GMO level one control environment, a team which be known as GMO Quality Controls.
  • Support quality control reviews and add value through a recommendation style overhaul of any GMO control and procedure found to be failing or inadequate.  
  • Assistance in the design of standard control and testing procedures, templates and methodology, and the inclusion of BNP Paribas protocols and mandates for Control.
  • Perform walk through and data collection exercises
  • Develop close partnerships with GM Operations management, Operational Risk and Control Tower managers and staff across GM Operations, and as applicable, OPC, Risk Audit, and Compliance.  
  • Draft full operating procedures and publish on the territory platform Livelink.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are fully cross-trained.

  • 5 yrs. + of experience in Financial Services, with a Finance, Operations, Audit and or Business Management background.
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with confidence and composure at all levels of the business hierarchy
  • Highly skilled multi-tasker with efficient organization skills
  • Highly ethical and control oriented
  • Highly organized and adept at managing competing deliverables.
  • Strong team skills but comfortable working independently with clear directives. 
  • Excellent desktop skills – including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Independently driven and able to operate autonomously.
  • Good knowledge of Global Markets products, Operational process flows and controls.
