Interns (m/w) Investment Banking - Mergers & Acquisitions
BNP Paribas’ internship program offers a rewarding experience for students interested in starting their Investment Banking career. It is an excellent opportunity for students to gain an in-depth understanding of the M&A business and the culture of our firm. Interns will be able to explore all aspects of our Deal Execution Team’s work while experiencing the role of an analyst.
Our Frankfurt office typically offers 3 to 6 months internships, which, however, can vary in length depending on business needs and candidate availability. Analyst-level mentors are provided to ensure an enriching internship experience. Successful interns may be extended full-time offers to join the firm as Analysts.
Our internship program has been structured to incorporate as many facets of the role of an Analyst as possible, featuring direct involvement on active projects, with potential for increased responsibility and accountability in a lean deal team setting.
As an intern, your key tasks and responsibilities typically include:
Preparing and executing client transactions
Participating in due diligence sessions and communications with deal team members
Supporting development and maintenance of complex financial models
Supporting financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses
Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
Preparing presentation and other materials for clients
Networking with bankers of all levels of experience
Genuine curiosity about the Investment Banking world is the starting point. We’re looking for adaptable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic students who can thrive under pressure and work well within a team.
Additional requirements include:
Excellent academic performance (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics)
Previous internship experience within investment banking or related fields
Maturity, self-confidence and self-motivation
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fluency in English and good knowledge of German
Ability and desire to work as part of a team
Proficiency in MS Office suite
