Position Summary

Responsible for providing procedural maintenance and communication support. Ensures procedures and communications are effectively staged, crafted, and delivered to appropriate audiences. Acts as project facilitator or participant in projects directly relating to procedures. Provides recommendations for process implementation that maximizes efficiency and productivity, providing supporting documentation for final recommendations.

Position Accountabilities


  1. Develops regular communications and updates all procedure manuals
  2. Participates in various project teams
  3. Crafts all internal communication related to procedural updates
  4. Provides project status to management and establishes timeline and action steps to meet project timeframes
  5. May be required to facilitate project team meetings and establish and manage project plans
  6. Provides editing and consulting to business partners on procedural matters
  7. Ensures all written content is consistent with the Bank of the West brand in terms of look, tone, manner, accuracy, and messaging
  8. Develops training material and facilitates training sessions to support procedural changes
  9. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  10. Performs other duties as assigned



Job Specifications

Required Education or Equivalent Experience
  • Four years college level training in a related field preferred

Required Experience
    • Three to five years mortgage or home equity experience
    • Procedure document maintenance  

Field of Experience
    • Extensive experience in managing, developing and implementing operations/credit policies and procedures
    • Fluent in using Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
    • SharePoint experience desired


Administrative/Technical Skills

    • Exceptional writing and editing skills
    • Ability to analyze a wide range of information and write communications and procedures that provide clear and concise direction to the reader
    • Extraordinary interpersonal and verbal communications skills
