Job Description Summary

We currently have an opening in our Solutions Delivery organization for a Technical Lead. This position will lead, recommend, design, implement, and test solutions for our Banking Services Group. The Technical Lead will be responsible for the execution of complex projects by studying and understanding clients’ requirements, identifying gaps (if any) between clients’ requirements and solution functionalities, and defining and building technical and functional solutions to bridge the gap. We’re looking for top-notch, energetic talent to keep up with the industry’s momentum and lead web development, mobile development, programming, engineering and more.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Provide Technical mentorship to a team of developers
  2. Identify, propose, evaluate, estimate, and drive solutions with a combination of vendor products and custom software.
  3. Integrate complex web, middleware, and back end systems.
  4. Develop a roadmap of the conceptual design for future changes to the architecture of IT solutions.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure compliance with operational processes and define, design and deliver technology requirements, enhancements, and solutions that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.
  6. Research, evaluate and implement new technology and industry trends to optimize operational efficiency, infrastructure flexibility, and operational stability.
  7. Build application programming interfaces (APIs) for applications technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  8. Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of business
  9. Liaise with other professionals to design solution architecture for businesses and clients
  10. Ensure compliance to solution architectural design in the implementation of projects
  11. Render consulting and technical support services on project implementation to the project team
  12. Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals


Required Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in product development for banking, trading, or payment applications.
  • Deep technical knowledge in systems, application frameworks, database optimization, and experience being solely responsible for the success of software development projects.
  • Ability to think on your feet, present multiple solution options, and drive defect free products.
  • Great communication skill, ability to communicate complex problems in simple terms. 
  • Proven record interpreting and fulfilling requirements by developing high performing, scalable and maintainable solutions with multiple technologies and vendors.
  • Candidates who are experts in at least one of the following stack: Functional Architecture, BPM, AI, Robtics, Data will be highly prefered.
  • Hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies and best practices including Rational Unified Process, deployment automation, code reviews, and test driven development.
  • Skills in Java, Java EE, Websphere Application Server, Websphere MQ, Oracle .
  • Integration experience with XML, XSLT, SOAP, JSON, and RESTful services.
  • Candidates with experience in Banking, and especially in supporting Operations will be highly preferred. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in an IT related discipline with 10 years of industry experience
