Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing the highest level of creativity and skill in compensation policy and program development and consulting support. Is assigned the most complex, highest impact projects such as large organization restructurings, major variable pay programs, and corporate mergers & acquisitions. May function as project manager or team leader.

Essential Job Functions
  • Recommend and implement Non-Executive best practice Rewards strategies in partnership with senior executives & business leaders for assigned client groups.
  • Advise executive & business leaders on a full range of Non-Executive strategic and tactical Rewards issues.
  • Conduct high visibility special projects that support strategic HR initiatives.
  • Research, recommend and document approaches to variable pay programs such as commission and incentive plans managed by Bank divisions. Act as the company’s internal partner on such projects with different levels of management. Provide expertise in the development and alignment of new variable pay programs.
  • Perform complex cost impact analyses and prepare special analyses, studies, and recommendations on subjects such as pay policies, incentive/sales compensation, bonus plans, and recognition programs.
  • Research and develop proposals for rewards policies and programs that will be reviewed and approved at top executive levels.
  • Conduct job evaluations using position analysis, job description and manager interviews. Market price jobs and make pay and FLSA recommendations.
  • Analyze impact of the integration of employees for mergers and acquisitions into the bank’s rewards programs.
Other Job Duties
  • Guide managers regarding rewards analysis, rewards programs and processes and rewards administration issues.
  • Participate in published compensation surveys and merger/acquisition work.
  • Analyze information regarding variable pay plan eligibility, targets, and accruals and review eligibility prior to management review.
  • Provides analytical or project support for BNPP or IRB requests as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have deep knowledge of project management.
  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Business or Human Resources

Skills
  • Financial Services or Banking experience a plus.
  • Must have proven experience in the design, assessment and documentation of variable pay plans.
  • Must be able to design sales compensation plans.
  • Must have experience in participating in established compensation salary surveys . Strong knowledge of rewards practices and legal and regulatory laws related to rewards.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Human Resources system or similar systems.
  • Advanced PC proficiency with Excel, Access and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, project management, analytical, research, negotiation, and presentation skills.
