Position Summary

This position is responsible for execution and coordination of the compliance risk management function at the Business Line level as it relates to consumer banking and small business commercial lending.


  1. Helps develop and recommend policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with existing regulations and best practices.
  2. Implements compliance program initiatives, such as formal risk assessments and compliance monitoring, in the assigned business line(s).
  3. Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations which directly affect the Business Lines practices; develops or revises appropriate policies, procedures, contracts and agreements to ensure compliance.
  4. Works with the areas of the Business Lines affected by changing laws, regulations, or policies to ensure that appropriate changes are implemented.
  5. Acts as compliance representative in projects involving new or changes to existing regulatory impacted materials
  6. Assists compliance manager on matters involving litigation, which may affect the Business Lines compliance with laws and regulations.
  7. Liaise with Group and/or Division Compliance and Corporate Compliance
  8. Monitors emerging major and critical compliance risks issues


Required Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field



Field of Experience

  • 7-10  yrs. combined Compliance/Audit/Risk Management experience
  • Alternative: Combination of education and experience (years /description) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience


Administrative/Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in the application of regulations: B, FCRA, Z, RESPA, HMDA, SCRA, CRA, O, W, Flood Insurance and UDAAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Lending laws
  • Strong knowledge of compliance risk assessment and monitoring
  • Identify and assess consumer banking and small business commercial lending business unit controls needed to mitigate compliance risk and support compliance programs
  • Develop compliance training material.
  • Conduct compliance training as needed. 
  • Write policies/procedures as needed.
  • Assist with management reporting
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
