What we offer you…
Your position / your team
You will report directly to the Chief Data Officer of the Bank and contribute to create a new team of 6 persons, the CDO Office. The CDO Office is in charge of arbitrating the data governance, defining the operational norms and regulating data quality across the organization. It helps to define the data strategy of the Bank, in line with strategic business needs.
Your mission
As Data Quality Analyst & Manager, you will analyze data quality reports and ensure the successful implementation of data governance framework as well as required actions defined by the CDO-Office and Data Community for the long-term improvement of data quality.
Your key responsibilities      
  • Ensure the implementation of data governance framework and “know your data” culture through the bank
  • Analyze reports received by the CDO office
  • Coordinate and prioritize actions originated from Data Quality reports.
  • Follow up on actions in an actively maintained project log and ensure that quality controls and rules are established
  • Coordinate with other ongoing projects and initiatives to ensure alignment of actions
  • Streamline communication with all parties involved to support the data governance community
  • Responsible for ensuring relevant project documentation, project plans and reports, support documents for the data management community and data board
  • Ensure compliance with all BGL policies and guidelines
  • Identify and report structural operational issues that causes poor data quality
  • Initiate the analysis of processes and controls in place and define required actions


What we expect from you…

Your experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, IT, Engineering, or any other related domain. A project management certification (e.g. PRINCE 2, CAPM …) is a plus.
  • 2-5 years’ experience within the Banking Industry with a good knowledge of major banking activities and processes
  • Previous experience with BCBS 239 is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of Data Management and or governance concepts
  • Already has been involved in IT or business transformation projects, understanding of data and their transversal impact on different departments

Your technical skills

  • Knowledge of data management tool is an advantage
  • Technical orientation - Understanding of IT-Infrastructure and applications
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project …) and techniques
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite (Excel, VBA, Power Point  …)
  • Fluent in English and French
