Position Purpose

Transfer team’s goal is to ensure transfer of  Securities by T+2 and ensure all cash and security breaks are timely reconciled . Also to process adhoc account closure fees and pierodic fees 

Responsibilities

i) Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework

ii) Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines

iii)Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System

iv)Contribute to the optimal quality customer service in securities processing

·      

  1. Co-ordinate with counterparty on transfers of securities.
  2. Process instructions to various custodians for settlement.
  3. Liaise with Front Office / dealers on necessary documentation for the processing of transfers settlement.
  4. Update clients’ positions in system.
  5. Follow up and monitor the progress of  failed transfers.
  6. Update status of any failed transfers by the stipulated settlement date in Failed Transfer Report.
  7. Compute, advise and debit clients’ account on relevant transfer charges. Update waiver file if fees are waived.
  8. Assist in custody fees, management fees and account maintenance fees collection.
  9. Pass entries for the fees collection or update waiver file if the fees are waived.
  10. Compute relevant outstanding fees for account closure.
  11. Pass entries for the fees collected or update waiver file if the fees are waived.
  12. Handle queries on transfers and fees collection from Front Office.
  13. Ensure procedures and control measures are strictly adhered to.
  14. Reconciliation of daily documents received from LBS with their Control Checklist.
  15. Participate in BCP documentation / drills and be updated on BCP drills/activation
  16. Sorting of mails.  

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·       Essential knowledge and experience of Settlement and Swift processing

·       Fluent in English (spoken and written).

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Should possess strong fundamental and technical skills, awareness of operational risk.

·       Excellent PC skills, especially in Excel.

·       Able to work under pressure and exhibits strong problem solving skills.

·       Understanding the importance of data integrity.
