The Vice President in charge of Early Career Graduate Program Management reports to the U.S. Head of Campus Recruitment and Early Careers. This role works closely with the Heads of Business and Function across the US platform to develop and sustain a market leading graduate program for undergrads and graduate students wishing to begin a career in the financial services industry.

The Head of Early Graduate Program Management position is part of the Human Resources Campus Recruitment and graduate program management team. The Campus Team looks after all campus attraction, recruitment and development of graduates, summer interns, long-term interns, and VIEs. The role is responsible for:

  • The design and implementation of attraction and retention strategies for our Analyst & Associate population.
  • The Head of Early Graduate Program Management works very closely with the H/R Business Partners for the Analyst and Associate population and communicates regularly with the Business Partners to seek and give feedback on what is working well within the program and what changes may be needed. 
  • The Head of Early Graduate Program Management will also chair a Graduate Board consisting of Analysts and Associates to gather feedback for program enhancements.
    • This role will also serve as secretary for the Grad Program Steering Committee, which consists of the CIB Americas Executive Committee members who are the biggest users of the graduate program.
  • The Head of Early Graduate Program Management has full end-to-end management of our graduate’s experiences within CIB Americas including onboarding, initial and on-going trainings, performance reviews, compensation, promotion process and rotations and internal mobility. 
    • This role works closely with senior stakeholders, business partners, recruiters and talent development partners to develop best in class graduate services for early career program participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee graduate induction programs
  • Collaborate with:
    • Learning and Development on the ongoing training curriculum
    • Human Resources Business Partners on mid-year and year end processes including objective setting, performance appraisals and talent reviews
  • Lead regular discussions with the Grad program Junior Board to assess the grads satisfaction with the program and management support
  • Lead regular discussions with the Grad program executive sponsors, senior territory management and Human Resources Business Partners to provide and seek feedback for improvements and enhancements
  • Act as a key advocate for the grads within the territory
  • Work with Human Resources Business partners and the businesses/functions to plan workforce needs in terms of size and required skills for future cohorts
  • Provide Grad Program metrics and reporting in terms of attrition, demographics, rotation analysis etc.
  • Partner closely with the Campus Recruiters to implement attraction strategies and selection approach\\
  • Provide standardized approach to major program elements to drive consistent experience for both talent and management
  • Regularly revaluate and share industry movements and standards in graduate programs with regard to structure, compensation, promotional timelines, etc.
  • Develop an AATP Alumni Program that cultivates community, mentorship, internal mobility

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years of relevant experience such as campus recruitment, talent development, program management, business partner
  • Experience of working in a global organization
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), attention to detail, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills; and an ability to manage large scale events
  • Ability to
    • Prioritize among many activities
    • Work independently as well as an integral member of a team
    • Influence and build credibility at all levels
  • Flexibility to work early and evening hours during the summer season is a must
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven and rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills across a range of different stakeholders; including graduates, hiring managers, Human Resources, and Sr. business stakeholders
  • Proficient in office computer software/systems (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – significant experience with excel and PowerPoint preferred
