Department Summary

To provide Trust & Fiduciary Services to clients of the BNP Paribas group. 

Main Job Purpose

  • Management and control of all private client related administration functions, services and teams.
  • Contribute actively to the BNP Paribas Jersey Group and BNP Paribas Jersey Trust Corporation business and management objectives as a member of the senior management team and span of control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision of activities of teams under management to ensure quality control;
  • Contribute to the establishment and evaluation of administration activities in line with current laws, regulations and group practices;
  • Where appropriate travel to meet new and existing clients to enhance client relationships and develop the awareness and capabilities of BNPPJTC within the organisation;
  • Oversee the management of client and intra group relationships;
  • Remain abreast of regulatory and business developments;
  • Ensure discharge of fiduciary obligations in conjunction with compliance, corporate trustee & fund administration functions;
  • Ensure discharge of duties as signing authority and official of managed entities and BNPPJTC and their subsidiaries.
  • Report to General Manager on a regular basis in agreed formats on all appropriate business issues and key performance criteria.

Essential Requirements


  • Sound knowledge of relevant trust and company law and fiduciary principles legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Good knowledge and application of “Proceeds of Crime Law” and regulatory guidelines
  • Commercial and fiduciary risk awareness
  • Business planning and organizational skills including change management;
  • Sound practical knowledge and understanding of Trust deeds and associated legal documents,
  • Well versed in technicalities of UK tax legislation re IHT, CGT and income tax;
  • Good understanding of corporate secretarial responsibilities and duties and the responsibilities and duties of directors and the practical application thereof in the offshore industry;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory requirements including the ability to understand the financial condition of companies from an analysis of the balance sheet;
