The Hispanic Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors. Mexico alone has a GDP which represents two thirds of Brazil’s.

BNP Paribas has a historical footprint in the Hispanic Latin America. The Bank has been in the region since 1914 and is now present in 5 countries with nearly 2000 employees between Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and International Financial Services.

CIB in Hispanic Latin America has world-class teams of roughly 200 professionals spread among Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina, thus ensuring an overall coverage of BNP Paribas’ client franchise in the region. All BNP Paribas’ business lines have operations in Hispanic Latin America and are structured in such a way as to provide their clients with the best combination of specialists according to sector, product or geographic region. In the context of growing globalization, they are able to accommodate their clients thanks to their powerful regional platforms:

  • In North America (essentially New York but also other hubs such as Houston and San Francisco) and Brazil (Sao Paulo) with a number of professionals covering Latin America.

Job Purpose

The Trade Manager is responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of the TTS portfolio in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America and Caribbean region, including GTS (Traditional Trade and Supply Chain Management), Liquidity and Cash Management products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In coordination with Coverage, identify prospects, elaborate, propose and perform the commercial strategy, notably with the objective of adding T&TS clients and optimizing return on existing ones.

  • Propose the budget and forecast to his management, and execute it in a way that (i) meets, at area portfolio level, our RAROC and EVC objectives, (ii) prioritize our value added products over vanilla ones when possible and (iii) promote sustainability content in our transactions.

  • Monitor constantly the country envelope use.

  • Maintain pipeline and portfolio reporting.

  • Contribute, in concert with the Structuring Group, to high quality support memos that meet GRM’s expectations.

  • Ensure the proper structuring, execution, monitoring and, as the case may be, distribution of transactions.

  • Do a permanent market intelligence that is relevant for our products in his/her area ﴾pricing trend, competition, growing sectors, …﴿


  • Degree in Finances, Business, Economics

  • English and Spanish proficiency

  • Knowledge in banking products with special emphasis in flow business

  • Understanding of TTS product offering, including Traditional Trade, Supply Chain Management and Cash Management products

  • Strong technical skills in financial analysis and credit risk assessment

  • Commercial and presentation skills

  • 5 years of experience
