Your mission if you agree

A special offer for young graduates of engineering schools:

As a Graduate, you will have a permanent contract within BNP Paribas CIB Global Markets IT (GM IT).

•You will start with an 18-month immersion in the same team, made up of 3 6-month rotations based in Paris.

On each rotation, you will travel abroad for a week (e.g. in Bombay, Hong Kong, Lisbon, London, New York or Singapore) to meet local teams, your internal clients, and to gain a better understanding of the technology and business issues at Global Markets IT.

 Are you ready to see the world at least three times in the next 18 months?

•In order to increase your skills and acquire the keys to professional development more quickly, mentoring is at the centre of the Tech Graduate Program of Global Markets IT.

 From the beginning of the programme, each Graduate will meet his Mentor: a senior GM IT manager with whom you regularly exchange information on your training, your queries, and who can help you build a solid network within the BNP Paribas Group.

 We know that sharing skills is crucial to learning and advancing in one's career.

•The GM IT Tech Graduate Program is also a network: thanks to your buddy, a person on your team who will guide you through your integration with BNP Paribas, but also thanks to regular networking events with the Group’s other Graduates and young talents.

In this way, you will have the opportunity to discover our various activities and occupations in a spirit of promotion that will be a perfect transition from your former student life. e.

 Finally, continuing training is part of the DNA of this Graduate Program: you will benefit from a wide range of training on hard skills and soft skills, as well as conferences and round tables to prepare you for the challenges of the Bank of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

To contribute to the Global Markets activity by designing, developing, evolving and maintaining applications, Developers have the opportunity to increase their experience in various functional areas and business lines.

Main activities

Developers may converse in some or all of the following activities:

•Develop and evolve software components in compliance with development and security standards and norms, while integrating data and security issues

•Contribute to optimising the code’s quality, performance and maintainability

•Ensure unit and assembly tests

•Contribute to other testing activities and implement the necessary corrections for any identified defect

•Estimate and guarantee the workload and deadlines of activities within the scope of its responsibility

•Propose suggestions for improving their work

•Contribute to the development of solutions

•Contribute to documentation of applications and solutions

•Contribute to product delivery in different environments

Global Markets IT (GM IT) is the engineering team that develops, maintains and improves the information systems and applications of Global Markets (GM), which specializes in investing and financing in capital markets around the world: we operate in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), Asia-Pacific and America.

Within BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Markets offers a wide range of hedging, financing and market intelligence products and services across all asset classes to help a wide range of international clients make the best financial decisions.

You will be located mainly in the heart of Paris in the Opera district.

What about remuneration?

This is an important subject, which will of course be addressed.

 Depending on your level of skills and experience, we will offer you a remuneration consisting of a fixed part and a variable part (bonus, incentive and participation), the level of which will vary according to your individual performance and that of the Group.

Are you our next CIB GM IT Graduate Developer / Developer (F/H)?

 The Graduate Programme is intended for graduates under 2 years of age with less than 2 years of professional experience from the date of graduation.

You are a Bac+5 graduate of engineering school or university equivalent with an IT specialisation.

Are you passionate about software development? Are you willing and able to work with local and distant multicultural teams? Do you have a good understanding of software development cycles, best practices and quality assurance?

Are you rigorous, results oriented with a collaborative spirit? Able to adapt quickly in a demanding environment, are you recognized for the skills and knowledge detailed below?

 Are you constantly seeking to improve your performance and knowledge? Feel free!

Professional knowledge and expertise required

•Good knowledge of at least one of the development languages (ex : JAVA, C++, C#, Python, Scripting....)

•Mastery of IT development rules, principles and practices

•Mastery of the tools of development and continuous integration used

•Mastery of key data and data management issues

•Mastery of the main issues related to safety and its management

•Ability to work with a local and distant development team, using agile methods

•Ability to stay current with new technological trends

•Knowledge and interest in market finance

General and interpersonal skills required

•Analytical skills

•Detail and precision

•Responsibility for reporting

•Ability to learn

•Creativity and innovation

•Level of current English and level of current French preferred.
