About the job

  • The Tax & Income Operations Officer is accountable for the acknowledgement and follow-up of all requests from clients, either for relief at source or reclaim purpose, performing the necessary validations on the system, and communicating it to our custodian network. The main responsibility is to assure that clients receive their payments or reclaim refunds according to the eligible market rules and their instructions

Your Main Activities Are

  • Perform daily administrative operations, such as controls and analysis of requirements
  • Answer to Account Manager queries related to the activity managed
  • Follow-up on clients’ instructions, ensuring that internal and external queries are dealt with in a timely and adequate manner
  • Process fiscal documentation provided by clients and validate according to each market rule
  • Guarantee the correct taxation of income payments on foreign securities for financial intermediaries or international investors
  • Process cash reclaim refunds and assure accurate follow-up and update of accountancy breaks and movements
  • Analyse market updates and take the appropriate actions when needed, reviewing with the management of operational procedures
  • Update the dedicated databases and follow-up files (documentation, accountancy, breakdowns)
  • Gather information from the different operations and procedures, set out statistics from the activity and extract reports to support the decision process

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic background in Accounting or other relevant fields
  • Experience in backoffice Banking and Financial Operations (preferable)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English
  • Analytical ability and problem solving skills
