The Senior Social Media Partner is responsible for assisting with and executing the social media plan and strategy for Bank of the West, BNP Paribas. Reporting to the Social Media Lead, this role oversees the design and execution of specific tactics and campaigns that tell our brand story by maximizing digital engagement and message amplification, while minimizing cost.

You’ll be responsible for tracking performance of all channels and collaborate on strategies to improve engagement and performance. You will actively engage our social followers and create meaningful connections through thoughtful community management.


  • Develops and executes a variety of social media initiatives, including (but not limited to) social media community management, employee advocacy, social media contests, video production, sponsorships, events, etc.

  • Manages a weekly/monthly social content calendar, working closely with Content Marketing.

  • Works collaboratively across the organization to capture content for social distribution, securing the appropriate approvals from compliance and legal teams.

  • Measures effectiveness across a variety of analytics tools, creating monthly reports, and continually refining/optimizing content, executions and strategies on a regular basis.

  • Collaborate and provide guidance on social customer service/issues management as needed, including crisis management in collaboration with PR.

  • Occasionally attends bank-sponsored events to provide social coverage.

  • Support social contests, campaigns, activations, bank sponsorships, and events.

  • Manages social listening programs and reports on appropriate insights.

  • Develop and manage authentic influencer communities, both paid and organic.

  • Analyzes competitor social media efforts, and stays current with the latest social media trends and tools.


  • Five (5) years of social media management experience

  • College degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of all social media platforms and best practices

  • Strong, and demonstrated, copy-writing skills

  • Ability to create compelling content

  • Self-starter with excellent, and proven, creative ability

  • Familiarity with Canva online graphic design tool

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (i.e. Spredfast, Talkwalker, Hootsuite)

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing techniques

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Design skills a plus
