Responsible for data preparation and analysis to ensure integrity and quality, risk model development, model monitoring and tracking, strategy development and optimization, and documentation of the business, process, data, methodology, and results. The incumbent will collaborate with business, data management, risk personnel and model validation groups. The incumbent will also be required to perform deep dive business analysis and reporting to assist with active portfolio management and product development.
1. Extract and analyze data gathered from multiple servicing systems and other sources, decompose high-level information into details, and communicate insight to management and internal clients.
2. Design and develop risk models and strategies for the Retail Banking Group (RBG) and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) products.
Model development, implementation and testing
Documentation of model development process and associated methodologies employed (Model Development documentation as prescribed by the Bank’s Model Risk Management Group)
3. Model monitoring and summarization of insights drawn from such reports 3. Take unstructured problems enunciated by stakeholders and provide data driven insights and solutions to address them.
4. Use data to develop optimized strategies/refine existing strategies under a Champion/Challenger paradigm for key risk and business decision areas.
5 or more years of SAS and SQL usage, preferably in a financial setting. Must have good understanding of enterprise systems and relational databases. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
3 or more years of relevant experience in credit analysis, modeling and/or risk management.
At least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Master’s, in a quantitative field. (.e.g. Math, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, etc.).
Must have solid organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines with quality results.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently and proactively and take initiative in solving problems quickly.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing, business requirement proposals, client interaction, and methodology documentation.
Must be performance-oriented with strong work ethic.
Experience with Modeling software (e.g. Fair Isaac Scorecard Pro, SAS Enterprise Miner, etc.) would be a plus.
Experience with visualization tools like Tableau would be a plus
