Sr Data Governance Analyst

We are currently seeking qualified talent to be responsible for supporting activities that advance the strategic vision of Enterprise Data Management team and works closely with stakeholders across the firm to drive adoption of governance principles.
Process activities include the documentation of Polices, Standards and Procedures, successful deployment of the accountability framework, tracking of deliverables, training and data community engagement activities.
The candidate will also support the contribution to EDM standing forums either directly (through delivery of materials) or indirectly (ensuring materials are delivered by the most relevant unit within EDM), maintenance of Standards and Policies as well as direct contribution to the EDM Regulatory Oversight and Compliance function. This will include delivery of RaDAR program and related components.
Additionally, the role will support the data community engagement activities for training & development, collaboration, planning, and coordination with the LOB data stewards and the larger data community. This includes the driving implementation of data domains, across LOB and functions, with formalized roles and responsibilities and the execution of a robust appointment process.
The role may entail some process design in the setup phase and additionally as governance evolves in tandem with organizational maturity.
This position requires: prior experience in banking environment (products, LOB, functions), to independently produce high-quality, comprehensive detailed documentation, the ability to deliver executive-level writing and presentation materials which requires significant organizational skills due to the complexity of contributions required.
In addition, the ability to grasp complex data related concepts (i.e. EDM Standards and Procedures) and communicate them to a broad range of audiences is key.
Proactively drives content creation for relevant EDM forums and ensure materials are effective in terms of clarity, completeness and for driving decision making
Supports the data community engagement activities for training & development, collaboration & relationship building, and long-term planning & process improvements, by providing SME knowledge of updated Data Governance Standards and promoting implementation consistency across the stakeholders.
Facilitates workshops with Domains (Business Lines / Functions) to identify key roles/stakeholders as well as socialize the Enterprise Data Management Framework.
Supports the management of policies, standards, and procedure and committee structures that are required to ensure accountability and adoption of the EDM principles.
Establishes master list of Procedures that support each Guiding Principle. Maintain oversight of artifacts articulated in procedures to support IG assessments.
Manages documentation in a well-structured manner to track progress and enable knowledge management and evidence for auditability.
Performs implementation and ongoing maintenance activities with regard to the accountability framework supporting cumulative responsibility of actors in the EDM Framework, leading to attestation and certification of covered reports and requirements of RaDAR Group program.
Builds awareness of actors in the responsibility framework regarding data and its lifecycle, illustrated by their understanding and control of the data they produce or aggregate, and their ability to meet specified deadlines
Develops and maintain knowledge on the BCBS239 guidance as well as the RaDAR program implementation so as to constantly adjust, as relevant, your activities to the approach promoted by the Group
Delivers RaDAR program and related components
7 - 9 years of work experience preferably within a data management / data governance organization in any industry
2 – 3 years of relevant experience with regards to documenting processes, policies, procedures, preparation of committees either directly (committee secretary position or similar) or indirectly (management consulting position, senior executive support position)
Prior exposure to the principles of data management and associated regulations such as BCBS 239 preferred
