Job Description Summary

Responsible for planning, developing, and managing Marketing analyses presented to Senior Management and Board level Committees. The Senior Data Analytics Analyst collaborates with management and business partners to develop key measures, apply marketing analytic techniques, and create data visualizations to help deliver insights related to key business objectives. A successful candidate partners with subject matter experts to develop and deliver analyses that enable marketing channel, customer segment, and product managers to continuously improve operational performance and financial results.

Essential Job Functions

Develops data visualizations/reports across multiple initiatives and marketing programs. Manages analytic processes and procedures to ensure all analyses and related documentation are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Manages the schedule, technical, and analytic workflows for multiple projects in coordination with subject matter experts across Marketing.
  • Works collaboratively with subject matter experts to scope, develop, contribute, review, and approve analyses and related business insights.
  • Extracts, filters, and aggregates data from complex relational and transactional databases via SQL queries, and presents compelling analytics and insights via Tableau data visualizations.
  • Ensures measures, analytic techniques, and presentation materials are generated using established data definitions, reporting templates, and statistical techniques.
  • Ensures databases and reports are maintained accurately from source to extract, and proper verifications are conducted for completeness and accuracy in end-deliverables.
  • Manages projects and/or small teams to support new Marketing analytic initiatives or related automation efforts.

    Required Experience


    • Requires deep technical knowledge of relational and transactional database environments, and related data visualization software (i.e., Tableau or Qlik).
    • Demonstrated experience and expertise working with consumer direct marketing and marketing channel managers to develop campaign measurement plans, data extracts, reporting dashboards, and deriving insights using the appropriate statistical methods given the business objectives and data available. Experience with digital marketing data and analyses is essential.
    • Knowledge of and related experience with Agile development methodologies.
    • Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.


    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field

    • Master Degree in quantitative field preferred

    Work Experience

    • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
    • Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.
    •  May have broad knowledge of project management.
    • Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.


    • Proficient using Tableau and/or Qlik to develop and deliver executive-level   dashboards.
    • Proficient using SQL and Microsoft Office tools.
    • Excellent management and control of analytic work flows to produce deliverables within required timeframes and quality standards.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to condense information and transform technical data into easily understandable concepts.
    • Good interpersonal and partnering skills to facilitate effective working relationships.
    • Keen eye for design and understanding of data visualization best practices.
    • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing Marketing environment and business needs, and ability to prioritize deliverables accordingly.
    • Basic understanding of financial industry and corporate data security.
    • Strong leadership skills.
