Settlement Analyst – Fixed Income Back Office

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include the following:

• Securities settlements utilizing The  Bank of New York’s BDC system
• Knowledge of Repo/Reverse trade characteristics including calculation of Repo interest
• Arranging and confirming pair-offs and partial deliveries
• Work closely with traders and trade support staff during settlement cycle to minimize failed transactions
• Comprehensive research and follow up of fails and money differences
• Knowledge of CCP reconciliations, repo collateral substitutions, and real-time trade matching
• Arranging and confirming all pair offs, re-pricings, and coupon payments through the Fedwire system
• Monitoring of front to back systems for seamless trade flow
• End of day reconciliations with Depositories and Nostro Accounts
• Knowledge of Funding (Tri-Party transactions)


TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 4 year college degree preferred
• Extensive clearing experience through a Central Clearing Corporation (i.e. CDS).
• Knowledge of repo/reverse trade processing, including calculation of interest
• Liaison with traders, salespeople, and trade support staff during settlement cycle
• Comprehensive research and follow up of fails and trade discrepancies
• Proficient  in Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Fixed Income
• At least 5 years’ experience in the financial industry and have had experience dealing with traders.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Knowledge of funding Including Triparty Funding

• Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, initiative, and the ability to work under extreme pressure. 
• Candidates must be able to work well with traders and develop their confidence and be flexible with working hours.
• Bilingual-English and French
