About Businessline/Function :

Within BNP Paribas, we are RISK and we are responsible for calculating providing Market and Credit Risk to traders, marketers, trade analysts and risk analysts. We are looking for a Support Analyst to provide enterprise level technical support to our customers via phone, email, chat and other support channels as required. You shall serve as the first point-of-contact (Level 1): your role will be to receive, to record and understand users’ issues, to fix known issues, to co-ordinate with other teams to fix issue and to then communicate the resolution to the user. You will analyze all available sources of information, as well as liaising with colleagues to obtain technical knowledge in order to ensure quick resolutions. You need to think about possible improvement in current system based incident and propose improvement ideas to team (Monitoring/Automation etc.)

Position Purpose

The role is for a Senior Java Developer with experience of working within a dynamic and demanding environment reacting to changing business needs who works equally well as an individual or as part of a team with good Analysis and Development.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years commercial development experience on J2EE technology (Spring + Hibernate) and Sybase ASE/SQL with at least 1-year hands-on experience in Hibernate. He should have a good knowledge of Angular JS or any of the JavaScript Framework.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for learning and working closely with the rest of development team, which is located in London and Paris (BA’s). The candidate should be flexible enough to work on both small-scale enhancements and must have the ability to undertake larger complicated projects with other developers. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide 3rd level intraday support, and take part in overnight support on a rota basis.

      

Previous experience within the investment-banking sector is not essential but a highly motivated and skilled individual who can add to the current group of talented developers is considered more important.



Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

 

·         Develop; implement and unit test the required solution, respecting BNP Paribas best practices, standards and tools.

·         Lead team of 3-4 people and would be able to deliver project on time with quality.

·         Provide Technical solution to team.

·         Collect, document and analyze user requirements.

·         Translate user requirements into system requirements and specifications including domain, data, and architecture and design models.

·         Document the solution for maintenance, support and users.

·         Take part in peer group code reviews

·         Take part in quality assurance reviews

·         Provide estimates for work

·         Provide updates of status and estimates to complete

·         Identify risks and issues, and help monitor them

·         Plan, design, perform, support and document integration tests

·         Plan, design, perform, support and document system tests

·         Plan, design, perform, support and document regression tests

·         Intraday 3rd level support

 

 

Contributing Responsibilities

·         Hands on basic UNIX skills.

·         Knowledge of Shell Scripts

·         Java certifications would be a plus

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

·         Hands on Experience on any Java Script libraries (Preferable Angular JS)

·         Hands on Experience on Core Java 1.7+, Sybase ASE/SQL

·         Excellent knowledge and understanding of Spring 4+ and Hibernate 4+
