Senior Surveyor / Associate Director - Valuations

The role

The Valuation Business Line is a key strength in the London office. As a Senior Surveyor/Associate Director, requirements include conducting a mix of appraisal and valuation work for investment and banking clients in addition to consultancy advice for both public and private sector clients.

 

Responsibilities

Financials

· Has a fee earning target

· Is aware of the team target and the role they play in achieving this

· Understands what generates revenue and makes profit

Clients and Business Development

·  Manages existing clients relationships at a senior level on a day-to-day basis

·  Can identify new business opportunities outside own discipline and pass on

·   Responsible for managing small instructions or subsections of major projects

·   Works independently on most assignments but receives guidance on unusual or complex issues

·  Has broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines

·  Enhances BNP Paribas Real Estate’s reputation through successful delivery

·  Builds own network within service lines

People

· Supervises teams on assignments

· Shares knowledge with/ provides information to colleagues and team

· Mentors other junior colleagues, particularly graduates approaching RICS APC assessments

Systems and Process

· Person specific. Evaluates, adapts and improves standards, techniques and procedures

· Is a contributor to BNP Paribas Real Estate projects

Person specification

Essential qualifications

· Educated to degree level

· MRICS

· RICS Registered Valuer (preferred)

Essential experience

· Demonstrable record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market within consultancy or transactional roles

· Previous experience and evidence of enhancing performance through growth and profitability

· Developing profile as a business generator

· Experience with Argus software suite (ValCap, Developer and Enterprise) is preferable, in addition to a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
