Senior Product Manager, Alternative Investors

    1. PRODUCT MANAGEMENT / PRODUCT CONTROL / PRODUCT INNOVATION
  • Drive product innovation to enhance existing Alternatives’ capabilities by working closely with Global Products teams and Client Delivery to develop core product enhancement and targeted tactical solutions to meet APAC clients’ and prospects’ needs

  • Enhance the BP2S value proposition by developing new solutions to support new client needs, regulatory developments or strategic initiatives

  • Design and maintain effective business operating model to align with client needs, maintain clear product standards and ensure product control guidance

  • Leading the effective launch of new HFS products in the region, deliver Product Level Description (PLD) with prioritized features, corresponding justifications, core positioning and messaging for the product launch

  • Defining the product strategy and roadmap for Alternatives clients, and transversally for other 3 client segments, i.e. Asset Managers, Asset Owners, FI&C

  • Contributing actively to the geographical expansion in the region by analyzing new markets, defining the product strategy and monitoring implementation

  1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Work in close collaboration with the Client Development teams
  • Provide prospects and clients with superior insight on solutions, product capabilities and business operating models

  • Understand clients’ requirements and pain points in order to adapt solutions to address underlying needs

  • Actively engage with clients to identify new opportunities for expansion and adoption of solutions

  • Acting as a product champion to support sales during their marketing activity across the region, and translate/interpret client demands into service enhancements and/or new offerings

  • Developing of sales tools and collateral, with the support of Global Product & Marketing teams

  1. PROFIT & LOSS MANAGEMENT
  • Support Client Delivery’s operational efficiency and to drive down cost of operation

  • Driving and increasing the profitability of the products portfolio through lifecycle management:

    • Ensure appropriate profitability modeling is in place, and assist in the design and development of financial models where required

    • Analyze, price and support suitable new business opportunities
    • Work closely with Client Development to establish sales pipeline and revenues projections, and track deal performance against sales plan/pipeline

  1. MARKET & REGULATORY WATCH / THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
  • Establish thought leadership/market advocacy approach to promote market awareness & understanding of BP2S current and future capability

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market regulatory watch, and translate these insights into recommendations for our business and to our clients

  • Support BP2S expansion in APAC through business case structuring, strategic review and analysis and decision making across new markets



The candidate will need to be able to justify the following skills:

 
  • More than 15 years of experience in the Fund industry in Asia
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Product Manager either within an Asset Management company or a Custodian
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • A clear ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across functions
  • Capability to undertake detailed analysis and to formalize documentation to support the product lifecycle
  • Understanding of the Insurance sector
  • Experience on Asian markets, including frontier markets.
