Senior Distribution Sales Manager

The role is responsible for all typical distribution partners/intermediaries and asset allocators (“wholesale clients”), such as asset managers, wealth managers and funds-of-fund managers as well as distribution channels, e.g. large banks, regional banks, private banks and larger cantonal/cooperative banks etc. with a focus for German-speaking Switzerland. The role is a sales and client relationship role in one. It is a senior role with full responsibility for own clients and the responsibility to generate substantial new business with both, existing and by acquiring new clients. The role is located in Zurich.

  

Core Functional Responsibilities & Contributions

  • Delivery of the defined sales target
  • Contribution to the overall distribution strategy in German-speaking Switzerland by  developing and executing the strategy for the assigned region
  • Contribute actively to the agreed marketing plan
  • Coverage incl. co-coverage of strategic clients and acquisition of new clients in the assigned region
  • Develop a strong long term oriented relationship with the assigned clients by delivering best possible client service
  • Maximize established client relations by exploiting cross selling opportunities for AM and other products of the group
  • Ensure proper client documentation in CRM system
  • Monitor and comment monthly Sales Reports
  • Monitor market developments with regards to competition  and support produce development
  • Support the development of the AM Brand in German-speaking Switzerland
  • Identify and leverage synergies with other parts of BNP Paribas in order to contribute to the banks overall Swiss growth strategy
  • Comply with internal procedures according to the procedures manual
  • Cooperation with legal and compliance to comply with regulatory and legal framework (i.e. Know your client, Client Account Opening, Fatca, AML)

Requirements

Professional Career Track/Experiences:

  • Some years of relevant sales experience with well-known addresses in the targeted client segment in German-speaking Switzerland

Professional Skills/Know-how:

  • Deep understanding of the fund market and the decision processes of fund distributors and fund selectors
  • Well-founded theoretical knowledge of active investment strategies for all essential asset classes and investment styles
  • Profound understanding of capital markets and related investment opportunities
  • Sound knowledge base in financial derivatives, capital market and portfolio theory as well as financial mathematics
  • Solid knowledge of legal framework conditions for the mutual fund business in Switzerland
  • Fluent in German and English with good negotiating skills in the respective language
