Direct Responsibilities

Be the APAC point of contact for Symphony infrastructure topics and work with internal IT and Symphony teams to continuously enhance our Symphony infrastructure around latency and user experience

Drive end-to-end development work for internal applications and bots aligned with the GM digital transformation agenda (building prototypes, validating scenarios, develop ChatBots and framework infrastructure for deployment at scale, sharing demos of work completed)

Work with the users to understand their needs, workflows and plan out a technical product vision to help them execute and reach it

Onboard, coach and be a mentor to the local bot dev resource(s)

Support other electronic commerce projects in regional or global scope
Contributing Responsibilities

Work autonomously and be comfortable building projects from start to finish

Contribute to the global bot framework. Maintain good documentation on bots developed and produce any user manuals as required. Help to create and maintain a library of education collateral

Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/product/trends related to ChatBots and corresponding architecture solutions

Understand and translate customer needs into business and technology solutions via the range of leading digital methodologies and/or solutions that drive business value. Drive discussions and provide consultation around digital transformation, the users’ digital journey, functional/application designs and ensure technology and business solutions represent business requirements

Experience and Qualifications required
Minimum tertiary education level – Must be a degree holder in IT or equivalent subject
At least 5 years’ experience
Proficient in Python, C#, with a good knowledge of API ecosystems, REST Frameworks, design and architectural patterns, understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Solid experience in client-server infrastructure, backend APIs, workflow execution
Solid experience with web based applications and restful/JSON APIs, e.g. using WebAPI
Solid experience in UI web technology using HTML5, JavaScript, React and/or AngularJS
Solid experience in high scalability, availability, resiliency, multithreaded architectures and optimised UI’s
Solid experience with relational databases and SQL knowledge
Excellent knowledge of programming best practices, design patterns etc
Ability to write unit tests within standard frameworks
Proven experience with digital projects
Excellent organizational and communication skills
An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
Desirable Requirements
General understanding of finance and structured investment products, particularly from a sales perspective
An ability to design performant software and an understanding of application performance profiling
ChatBot or Virtual Assistant experience
Willing to participate to Symphony Hackathons
