About Oxygen Platform in BNP Paribas in Spain and Portugal

Main objective of Oxygen Platform is to propose services that cover the whole financial dimensions: accounting production activities, reporting, control, transformation projects and IT. As such, Oxygen is servicing not only Finance EMEA region but also the Global Group Finance Services and other Finance IT Shared Services.

Oxygen Hub is working over 2 locations (Lisbon and Madrid) and its management is transversal to Madrid and Lisbon.

The challenge at stake is to reach even further harmonized processes, to bring the data quality to the summit, and propose increasingly high-end solutions to be able to bring to the Group the efficiency required to reach the target objectives. 

Mission and Objectives

CIB Global PM key role

  • Monitoring, analysis and allocations of all CIB Functions costs in order to provide CIB Management and Group Finance with an in-depth analysis and follow-up of CIB Functions data.
  • Be a business partner for CIB: CIB Management, CIB Functions, CIB Metiers
  • Manage the interface with all Local PM to ensure consistency in Global Management view

CIB Global PM missions

  • Review management accounting closing made by Local PMs on his geographical perimeter and perform overall analysis
  • Manage adhoc analysis and specific reports depending on Top management priority
  • Participate in the definition of key analysis axis to enhance the quality and the relevancy on all produced reportings
  • Produce and compute reporting and analysis on his scope by using all available finance tools
  • Managed Finance system referential update on his scope in coordination with all other PM and Client
  • Budget transfer loading and control (integrity, consistency, level of validation required)

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce monthly and quarterly closing reporting and analysis.
  • Perform controls related to data loaded in the different tools
  • Preparation and participation to Actual/Forecast/Budget processes.
  • Business partnering with SPOCs / Managers, Project Office, local PM team.
  • Manage Budget transfer process on his scope

Detailed tasks description:

  • Produce monthly and quarterly closing reporting and analysis: collect needed information, control data, inputs in global systems (Paradigm), provide reports for CIB Function heads, CIB ITO COO and Head of Function N-1
  • Coordinate Budget process with both Client and Local PM, review and explain variation between each version, contribute to the building of Budget presentation for CIB to Management and Direction General
  • Follow-up of a dedicated geographical area for monthly closing control and analysis
  • Follow-up a dedicated Business Stream (ITO COOs, Functions,) at WWIDE level thanks to Local PM Contribution and functional analysis.
  • Guarantee of the respect of the Group Management Norms: consistency with Group and CIB rules & principles, homogeneity through functions and business lines and regions …
  • Manage budget Transfer process. Control threshold, accuracy, validation level of each Budget Transfer. Load and control those Budget transfer in the system

Requirements

Training and occupational experience

  • University graduate, master degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Banking/Accounting/Finance environment

Hard skills:

  • Language skills: Fluent in English
  • IT skills: capacity to use several of the following office tools in a proficient manner
    • MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access
    • VBA, Macro creations and modifications
    • Management tools : SAP, Smartview, Essbase (Vinci/ Paradigm)
