Senior analyst – Liquidity

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

The Liquidity Senior Analyst will be in part of a new team whose responsibility will be to reconcile the accounting data to the liquidity data for purpose of calculation of liquidity ratios accordingly to European and United States regulations.

This Senior Analyst will need to contribute to the development of the team through enhancement of the architecture and the applications used to perform the liquidity reconciliation and issuance of regulatory reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and apply the US and GROUP requirements in terms of liquidity reporting and accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP).

• Perform and support other analysts within the team in regards to the reconciliation processes between accounting and liquidity data in order to report the liquidity Standard Balance Sheet to ALM Treasury team and to BNP Management

• Report to the manager production issues and propose solutions to be shared with the project teams in the UK and in the US.

• Participate actively in the enhancement of the Liquidity reconciliations and in the development of report digitalization projects.

• Improve data quality of the reports by working in collaboration with other finance teams and functions.

• Develop appropriate tools to apply the controls, efficiently, reliably, and with flexibility to adapt rapidly to the changing reporting environment.

• Provide assistance and prompt resolutions in responding to various stakeholders’ questions

• Produce, maintain and enhance liquidity reporting procedures 


TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
• Practical experience in the Financial Services Industry as an accountant professional (5 years)

• Experience with Regulatory Reporting

• Recent practical experience in the calculation / reporting of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (US and EU)

• Experience in finance control environment


 ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, or both, CPA being a plus

• Corporate Banking , Trade Finance, Capital Markets & Broker dealers products knowledge

• Strong Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, IFRS and US GAAP

• Bilingual (French and English)

• Excellent Excel skills
