MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

Manage a team of professional (non-exempt) employees responsible for designing, developing and preparing standard  and ad hoc enterprise risk reports with a focus on credit risk. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


·         Oversee the design, development and preparation of enterprise risk reports for Executive Management, the Board of Directors, regulators, and BNPP. Analyze trends in the performance of the credit portfolio and prepare concise narrative  summaries including a discussion of emerging trends.  Manage production schedules.



·         Participate with other areas of Enterprise Risk Management to develop and implement credit risk management initiatives such as concentration analysis, establishment of exposure limits, and measurement of new business activities.



·         Coordinate with BNPP Group Risk Management and other units to interpret and deliver BNPP reporting requirements. Oversee development and production of reports. Coordinate with other BNPP entities (e.g. FHB) as required.



·         Oversee the preparation of selected regulatory reports including variance analysis and required documentation. Work with Finance - Regulatory Reporting to interpret new reporting requirements and develop the requisite reports.



·         Oversee the on-going maintenance and enhancement of the department's SQL database used for reporting on the commercial loan portfolio. Ensure complete documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, SQL code  and testing. Identify new information sources and opportunities to improve efficiency.


·         Participate in cross departmental projects to support IHC, CCAR and other enterprise-wide projects with respect to reporting and data.


·         Create queries against datasets using SQL or Crystal Reports.


 

·         Supervise the development of reconcilements and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of information and compliance with COSO requirements. Ensure that desktop procedures remain current.


TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE


  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of Processes, projects and tactics within one area.

  •  Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

  •  Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  •     Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business or related field

·         Good understanding of commercial and consumer credit.

·         Strong ability to interpret and implement regulatory reporting requirements.

·         Excellent presentation skills.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Excellent planning and prioritization skills.

·         Strong understanding of database application development.

·         Advanced Programming/Reporting : Crystal Reports, Access, SQL (SAS optional).

·         Advanced EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint.
