Job Description Summary


Seeking experienced Data Lead to be the product owner for Enterprise Data Management & Solutions Reference Master Platform.  This is a new platform that leverages the Informatica Reference 360 product with some internally built ‘cross checking data rules’ that has recently moved into production with limited initial scope.  The product owner will need to build out a roadmap of how to increase adoption across the organization over several years with the target of ‘core/shared reference data’ being managed through the platform.  In order to achieve this, product owner will be responsible for planning, budget, business case development, partnering with business and technology teams, performing data analysis / compares of datasets, managing related processes/procedures (that scale to thousands of tables), and partnering with governance teams to keep in lock step with broader Enterprise Data Management Policies.


Essential Job Functions

  • Planning, budgeting, and project execution

  • Partnering with business/technology teams to increase adoption – specifically someone with execution / ‘get it done’ skillset

  • Analytical compares of different data sets to validate new reference datasets that are incorporated into the toolsets (must have SQL writing skill)

  • Prepares requirements, test cases, and executes test cases with business partners

  • Manages and tunes the processes and procedures for ‘Reference Master’ data reporting/controls

  • Creates and communicates progress in adoption and managing issues to conclusion.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts.



Qualifications


  • Requires in-depth knowledge of job area typically obtained through higher level education combined with work experience.

  • Typically viewed as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  • Requires 5-7 years of experience in ‘Agile’ methodology

  • Requires 5+ years of SQL (MS SQL, Oracle, or Teradata)

  • Requires 5+ years of experience with relational databases, data marts, etc.

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience working in banking  and good business knowledge and familiarity with consumer/small business/commercial banking products


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree-required (in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar degree)


Skills

  • Must be highly detailed oriented.  Must enjoy being immersed in ‘data’ and enjoy digging and tracing data for answers.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail

  • Strong execution / ‘get it done’ skills

  • Must have solid organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines with quality results.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing, business requirement proposals, client interaction, and methodology documentation.

  • Knowledge of change management and software development life cycle practices (SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall helpful).

  • Understanding and application of principles, standards, industry practices, techniques and concepts, as well as contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.

  • Understanding on ‘data controls’, documentation, and implementation techniques.

  • Prior experience working with large implementation projects would be beneficial for the candidate.
