Position Purpose
Rates Referential Officer will be playing a critical role in enabling data quality and continuous improvement. With a strong pragmatic mind-set, this individual ensures quality data transmission to the end-users and is accountable for issue management and the definition of data quality strategy and controls.
• The Rates Referential Officer is an entry point for rates and FX referential topics regarding data quality and integrity (coming from the users across all 12 APAC territories)
• Act as the business representative to interact with Data Providers/SMEs on activities related to data quality and help provide E2E data and process understanding
• Empowered to oversee issue remediation and improvement projects, and drive escalation across the departments and governance forums
• Owning rate and FX data quality improvement opportunities and backlog recommendations
The key interactions are with Data Quality Analyst Role among CIB Operations; business representatives of all the functions of CIB ITO (Trade, Credit, Cash, Finance, ALMT); and data quality governance forum regarding the Interest rates and FX rates problems derived from the daily transactions.
Responsibilities
Rates Referential Officer

• Accountable for owning data requests, data requirements and data quality issues
• Support IT to identify, categorize, prioritize technical data quality issues
• Define data quality strategy, controls (preventative vs detective) and KPIs
• Empowered to oversee issue remediation and improvement projects, and drive escalation across the departments and governance forums
• Owner of rate and FX data quality improvement opportunities and backlog recommendations
Competencies (Technical and Behavioral)
We are looking for a Rates Referential Officer with Global Banking end-to-end data quality management experiences and be able to drive organizational change and operational solutions in the financial services environment:
• 5+ years of experience of data quality management from investigation to remediation
• Excellent technical understanding of Global Banking products and especially Interest rates and FX rates usage within Corporate Banking (Cash Management, Trade, Credit, Finance, etc.)
• Ability to interact and coordinate appropriately in a non-hierarchical framework with a variety of stakeholders including SMEs from Operations, IT, Business, and senior management
• Comfortable operating with a strong level of autonomy and / or under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think outside the box and to deal with novelty
• Strong written / verbal communication and reporting skills
• Strong team working and interpersonal skills
• Organized and delivery-focused, with attention to detail
• Proactive, proposing or taking own initiatives to prevent risks / issues
• Solid work ethic and high level of motivation
• Knowledge of BNPP APAC CIB set-up

Specific Qualifications Required
• University Degree
