BNP Paribas is recruiting for its European Finance Operations Center in Lisbon, part of the Group Finance function. Group Finance is responsible for compiling and processing accounting and financial information in order to ensure its publication and to provide Executive Management with the necessary information for the entire Group’s financial management.

Within BNP Paribas, a Group-wide program has been created in order to implement different principles across the board. This has also been translated into Group Finance Projects and Streams to be implemented throughout the course of 2018. A local Project manager is being defined to manage within PS&AP the requirements of this program for 2019, namely the creation of transversal quality KPIs and Action Plans, which will be gathered in a Dashboard to be presented quarterly to Senior Management and group-wide committees. In parallel, a series of actions will need to be taken to embed the Know Your Data culture in day-to-day activities, as well as ensuring a set of pre-determined documentation is in place, which formalizes the processes, roles and responsibilities.

The Project Manager is expected to integrate and strengthen the PS&AP Management Office – Data Quality, structuring, coordinating, supervising and managing specific PS&AP streams, to be able to answer to the Group Finance Function (GF), Group Finance Services (GFS) and PS&AP management needs.

  • Manage end-to-end project / streams, developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, and ensuring the key outcomes are delivered (on-time, within scope and within budget)
  • Manage changes to the scopes and schedules, using appropriate verification techniques
  • Bring top down perspective and escalate any transversal issues
  • Successfully manage the relationship with stakeholders and participate in governance meetings in order to prioritize items related to change request and incidents
  • Prioritize / accelerate delivery of projects’ streams and tasks
  • Propose meaningful governance, on board key stakeholders and coordinate their contribution
  • Make sure that GFS  methodology, standards and controls are properly applied
  • Partner with other Project Managers in the Group;
  • Collaborate with Data Quality stakeholders (GF, GFS, PS&AP)
  • Collaborate with GF to implement new reference frameworks
  • Manage the PS&AP data quality monitoring dashboard
  • Monitor corrective actions, in particular through the Data Quality Management tool
  • Prepare a synthesis dashboard for presentation to the PS&AP Management and Group Finance data quality steering bodies


  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance/ Engineering/Business Management
  • At least 5 years of experience as project manager
  • Previous experience in change management and the coordination of transformation projects
  • Knowledge of Finance, and/or purchase-to-pay processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, at all levels of the organization, both face-to-face and remote
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, both orally and in writing:
  • Writes sharp and straight-to-the-point executive summaries, emails
  • Capable of delivering impactful communications and presentations
  • Energetic, positive, proactive and results oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast fast-paced and dynamic environment, with international locations and different stakeholders
  • Fluent in English.
  • French is a strong plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
